In this sense you probably have a lot contacts to go to when it's time to restock your store. It is widely known within the pet shop industry that the most common problem encountered is the trouble all pet shop owners go through every time they have to purchase their supplies. Sure, they can go to a distributing company that carries all the products they want but then the prices skyrocket.
The founders of PetWholesaler wanted to create a wholesale pet store supply industry portal online. It was their vision to give the vendors one place to go to buy pet supplies, get information on new products, trends, and events and purchase products. They wanted the manufacturing companies to be within a retailer's reach; which is why they established a solid relationship with the manufacturers
In establishing a good relationship with the manufacturers, PetWholesaler is able to give retailers one place to go to for their wholesale pet store supplies. The benefits are not one sided, because then the manufacturers will be able to get their products noticed since product traffic will be maximized. In the case of the internet, the more traffic, the better! Usually, this traffic also buys rather than rubbernecks.
The company actually started by distributing catalogs, mailing lists and telemarketing their pet store supplies to pet shop owners. They currently has their own products and carry other products as well which make them a one stop shop for pet store supplies. Also, this wholesale pet store supply company actually asks their customers for recommendations and which products they would like to find in the website.
Due to the fact that PetWholesaler is a wholesale pet store, they are able to maintain a very good relationship with pet supply manufacturers. They also can offer you great discounts with a variety of prices to choose from. Another advantage is that the company has a team looking for new and innovative products, which keeps them up to date with the current pet business trends. If that does not impress you, then how about this? Since they are on line, then you can buy your pet store supplies 24/7 and in the comfort of your own home or office.

Building a bird house is a great way to start a new hobby. Offering shelter and protection to a family of birds can be a fascinating project. Bird watching has become very important in preventing the extinction and tracking the wherabouts of some species .
Bird houses can be built from a kit, from plans, or just by nailing a few boards together depending on how fancy or plain a bird house you want. They can be very simple in design or very elaborate. Either will turn out to be a great source of entertainment.
First you need to know what kind of bird you want to attract. Specifications are different for the houses of the different species. Do you want to attract blue birds, cardinals, wrens, finches, purple martins or chickadees? The sizes of the house, the size and location of the entrance hole and the placement of the house are just a few considerations.
Once you decide what type of bird you want to attract, look into the kits and plans or draw up your own plans according to the needs of that particular bird family. You will also want to look into where to best locate your bird house so there are no dangers to the birds and they are comfortable in moving in.
After your house is completed and you are waiting for arrivals, you can put out nesting materials nearby for the birds to use to build their nest. Just keep the pieces of yarn or string together where they can be easily found.
Birds are loosing their natural habitat by the widespread practice of clean forestry. There are many species that actually require our housing to keep the species alive. In North America there are about 50 species of birds that will nest in bird houses.

A decorative bird house is a nice addition to any garden, porch or patio. There is a wide variety of styles, colors and shapes and you can buy the one that best suits your garden style. In fact most of the decorative bird houses are fully functional and are suitable for bird nesting.
You can buy a decorative bird house from almost any garden shop or online. There are many online stores selling only bird houses and you will be amazed at the number of styles available.
Before you buy one though you should look for several things that are of great importance. The bird house should be made of wood or other natural material. It should be pest free and not treated with any chemicals. If it is painted make sure the pain is water based. These are all important factors and the decorative bird houses sometimes sacrifice them in favor of a great design and architecture.
If you are after a fully functional bird house than most of the above issues will be covered. The next worry will be where to hang the bird house.
Some people make the mistake to install a bird house on a place of their preference. It might be nice to have it directly next to your porch door but you may not attract any birds by doing so. You have to decide if you want the bird house as a décor enhancement or you want it for birds nesting.
If you want to attract birds, than place it accordingly. Each bird type prefers different bird house placement. Some birds such as Bluebirds and Swallows prefer open areas and fields, while other such as Woodpeckers and Owls prefer forested areas. Water birds such as ducks will love a bird house facing a lake or a stream. The same rule is valid for Purple Martins. Titmice, Nuthatches, Kestrels, Flycatchers and Chickadees will like a bird house placed on the edge of a forested area. If you want a bird type living directly into your garden, than get a bird house for Finches. They live pre4fectly near the house.
If you are placing more than one bird house consider the territory of each bird type. Some birds establish a territory and do not let other birds to enter it. If you place more than one bird house too chose you risk one of them to be empty. Check what is the typical territory for each bird specie and than distribute the bird houses.
Finally you can add some feeders near the decorative bird houses. This will invite birds to come as they will have plenty of food to raise their families.

Choosing the right salon for you is important. If you select a salon that you don’t like then you will dread going to the beauty treatments that are intended to make you feel good about yourself. To start your search you should create a list of characteristics that you want from your salon. This list should include price, location, personality of the stylist, services offered, and experience and skill level of your hair stylist.
One of the salon characteristics that usually impacts a person’s salon choice is the salon’s location. People want to find a salon that is close to their home. However, if they find a superior salon or stylist then they may be willing to travel.
The second salon characteristic that impacts a person’s salon choice is the selection of services that are offered. For people who usually only go to the salon for a cut, color and style a limit list of services is fine. However, there are people who want a salon that offers all the bells and whistles including spa treatments.
Price is another consideration that impacts people’s salon choices. People want to go to a salon that offers reasonable prices for the services that are offered. People on tight budgets may want to consider going to a teaching salon, as these salons offer beauty treatments for a lot less money than a regular salon.
The most important factor that determines what salon a person goes to is the personality and talent of the hair stylist. When you are searching for a hair stylist you want to make sure that you like their personality. You also want to make sure that they know how to handle your hair type.

Watering is one of the most tedious tasks with greenhouse gardening, as these types of indoor gardens require much more water. Watering your greenhouse improperly could cause you to lose your crops. This article will help you to learn ways to make your daily chore much easier while fabulously reaping the benefits.
When To Water
It’s always best to water your plants in the evening, rather than during the hot daytime hours.
Plants made up of soil-less composts, need more water because they get dry more quickly.
The best way to kill your plants is to water them simply out of routine of doing it. Make sure not to over-water them, but at the same time, assure that they have the amount of moisture that they need.
Larger and more mature plants need more water than young new plants. Take care to take the proper measures to water them accordingly. When your older plants start drooping, it may be time to take out the watering can!
The plants in your greenhouse will require less water during the dormant season of the coldest weather usually in December and January.
Keeping the floor wet in your greenhouse in the very hot summer days, will help to keep moisture in the air for your crops.
Hand-Watering
At times it may be hard to predict the amount of moisture that is in a plant pot, especially if it has a lot of peat-based compost. Try pressing your fingers gently into the top of the soil mixture inside of the pot.
Another way to guess the level of moisture is to use moisture indicators in a few select pots.
Larger plants that have been established for some time will benefit most with less forceful watering. This can be accomplished by breaking the force of the water dispersing from the watering can. Sometimes a small piece of cloth will do the trick. Small seeds definitely need to be watered with a very gentle spray. This can be done by pointing the rose of the watering can in an upward motion.
Hand-watering is still the most dominant method of greenhouse garden irrigation, even in today’s competitive markets. After frequent crop losses however, many growers are realizing that it may be time to change their traditional ways.
Overhead Spraying
Many of us prefer to have a spray mechanism when watering the greenhouse garden. It is possible to purchase several different designs of tubing that can be suspended overhead from the roof of your greenhouse. Some water spraying systems will spray in two-sided directions; others will spray water to only one side. You will have to select the type of tube design that you need and prefer.
Improvising
Although it is possible to buy specially designed systems with reservoirs, you can improvise to save money. This way works wonderfully. Find a lengthy piece of plastic gutter and use it as a reservoir by inserting one end of the capillary mat. Capillary mats allow the plants to be watered from the base of the container, where the capillary action of the compost takes place. Just sit your plants on top of the mat. The gutter should be always filled with water. You can do this by hand-watering it or by creating a drip system with the simple use of water bags.
Simple drip water system kits can be purchased with minimal cost for those that would prefer this method. These kits include usually about six drip valves that can be synchronized. Some kits even have adjustable water and fertilizer flow.
You can also pick up a combination of mist-like sprayers and adjustable dripper kits.
It is often best to have automatic watering systems that can do the job when the owner or part-time hobbyist is away at work or away even for short periods of time. Timers or automatic sensors can be applied to help as well with this task.

Overwintering in the Greenhouse
Many gardeners seem to shut down operations in the winter entirely and start completely anew each season. With proper overwintering techniques, which are made much easier with the use of a greenhouse, many plants can be preserved only to be more vigorous beautiful producers the next season. In addition to perennial flowers and ornamentals most berries including Black, Blue and Raspberries can be grown for more than one season as can most herbs including Basil, Chives and Parsley. Several vegetables are also perennials including Asparagus, Garlic, Shallots, Sweet Beets, Sweet Potato and many Peppers.
There are some distinct advantages to using a greenhouse for overwintering. In many areas rodents can be a significant source of damage to plants during the winter months when other food is scarce. Another major cause of damage and loss of plants during winter is caused by freezing and fluctuations in soil temperature, and this is an even bigger problem for plants in containers. Plants out in the open also often sustain tissue burn from the moisture loss caused by cold dry air. Proper overwintering in a greenhouse makes it much easier to protect against these and other winter hazards to plants.
It is possible to keep many plants from one year to the next. They will not continue to bloom profusely and grow over winter as they did during the summer, but in many cases they will have better production than they did in year one and will give the gardener a great head start on the next season.
Depending upon the climate, late August (Hardness zones 3-6) to late September (Hardness zones 7-8) is generally the window for beginning the overwintering process. In most areas it is practically impossible to keep plants thriving and producing outside past October. The low sun and shorter days tend to induce 'semi-dormancy', a period of reduced functioning in the plants. For this reason the beginning of the overwintering program will start by gradually tapering off watering and fertilization in October. In the winter the soil should not become bone dry or dusty, but should be watered only occasionally during the plant's dormancy.
It is best to hold off on moving plants into the greenhouse until just before the first freeze of winter sets in. Moving the plants inside too early will slow down the hardening off process and may result in undesirable out of season growth.
Once plants are in the greenhouse temperature control is very important to overwintering success. Temperatures of 45°-55°F are ideal. The higher the temperatures above this range, the more likely the plants will produce weak growth out of season which can make them susceptible to various infestations. Greenhouse temperatures can generally be controlled using ventilation during the day to keep the greenhouse from overheating. In very cold climates a heat source may be necessary to keep the temperature close to the ideal range, particularly at night.
Most plants will benefit from some pruning back in mid-March in preparation for the vigorous growth during the new season. This is also a good time to consider transplanting plants that grew a lot during the past summer into the garden or larger containers. Plants adjust best to gradual change. At this time, the greenhouse can be allowed to reach slightly warmer temperatures (65°F days, 55°F nights). Resume fertilizing with balanced blend mixed ½-strength. When all danger of frost is past, the plants can be moved outside again for the summer, and the greenhouse temperatures can be raised for plants that will remain in the greenhouse or for germination of new plants for the growing season.
For successful overwintering in the greenhouse keep these tips in mind:
Begin overwintering by reducing water and fertilizer in late August to late October, depending on Hardness Zone. Take care not to allow soil or air to become overly dry. Wait until just before the first freezing weather of the season to move plants into the greenhouse.
During the winter dormant period maintain greenhouse temperatures as close to 45°-55°F as possible.
Prune plants back in mid-March in preparation for the new growing season.
After pruning, increase greenhouse temperature to 65°F days, 55°F nights and resume fertilizing with balanced blend mixed ½-strength.
Move plants to desired outdoor locations when all danger of frost has passed.

The first tanks didn't have turrets in World War I until the development of the French light tank called the FT-17. This French tank set the design of tanks to modern day even thou it only had a machine gun for is main weapon. Many World War I tanks were huge compared to the early days of tank in World War II. At the Start of WW2 most tanks had a 37mm cannon.
Also before World War II the development of mobile radio sets that could be used inside tanks meant that tanks to work together as groups with out a person hanging outside of the tank with flags.During World War 2 tanks got larger up to the point of the 50 ton Tiger tanks. With larger size meant larger weapons.
The Soviets with the IS-2 tank had the largest production tank gun of WW 2 with a 122mm cannon. The IS-2 was the Soviet answer to the German Tiger and King Tiger tanks which had an 88MM cannon. The US built the M-26 Perishing with a 90mm Cannon. Armor during WW2 was mainly steel but Post WW2 the developed of guided missiles and SABOT rounds meant the development of new types of armor. With new armor and larger main guns tanks also got shorter. The closer to the ground a tank was the harder to hit. Vietnam was not a big tank war.
The US mainly used tanks as mobile artillery since they would sink in many of the rice paddies of Vietnam. The North Vietnamese did use T-34 and T-55. During the 1972 invasion the US used helicopters armed with guided missiles to destroy large numbers of North Vietnam's Soviet built tanks. In the 1960 and 1970s tanks started to receive laser sights, night vision and other enhancements to increase their ability to fight.
The Israelis developed explosive armor to defeat shaped charge rounds and missiles. British and American researches came up with armor based on depleted uranium. One big modern change is the development of smooth bore guns. Older tanks had rifled tubes which helped spin the shell as it fired. This helped stabile the shell in flight. Smooth bore guns last longer than rifled tubes and for about the same weight can fire a large shell. The Original M-1 had a 105mm main gun. The M1A3 uses a 120mm main gun as does the German Leopard 2.
Other new weapons are the use of missiles instead of shells. Some tanks carry missiles that fire out of the main gun. Some are laser guided or infrared guided. Modern tanks now use wireless networking to talk to helicopters, other tanks, artillery, command posts and even local close air support aircraft. This networking will speed how fast a tank works on the modern battlefield. Working together with other battlefield weapons will make the tank more deadly and useful for years to come.
The Tank was a culmination of technology developed before World War 1. The first tank is believed to have been designed by Leonardo Da Vinci in the late 15th century. It was never built. The Army of Great Britain in World War I needed a device that could break thru the line of trenches that the Germans were building in World War I. Using Gasoline engines, naval steel plates and tracks the British built the first working tanks. They were called tanks in the hope that Germans would think they were water tanks.
In the summer of 1915 the British tested their tanks in England. The tanks were rushed into production and were on the battlefields of France in Sept 1916. The first tanks were slow but they were invulnerable to machine guns and rifles. Only artillery or mechanical breakdown could stop most tanks.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki - Turning Points on the Timeline for World War 2
The timeline of World War 2 will show that on 6 August 1945 "Little Boy" was dropped on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. Just three days later "Fat Man" was dropped on Nagasaki, another Japanese city. It is important to know that "Little Man" and "Fat Man" were both nuclear weapons and are, to this date, the only ones ever used in the history of warfare. These bombs killed more than 140,000 people in Hiroshima and about 80,000 in Nagasaki. This number does not include the thousands more killed due to complications associated with excessive radiation exposure. The bombings of the Japanese cities Hiroshima and Nagasaki marked the beginning of the end of Japanese involvement on the timeline of World War 2.
The atomic bombs were designed and built by the United States with assistance from the United Kingdom and Canada. This project was what is now known as the Manhattan Project and led by J. Robert Oppenheimer, an American physicist. Before either bomb was dropped over Japan it was tested at Trinity Site near Alamogordo, New Mexico in July of 1945. It is interesting to know that the team was unsure if the bombs would even work properly, however the bombs were a success and ready for action over Japan. The bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, near the end of the timeline of World War 2, were extremely bloody and gruesome attacks. They are seen through history as some of the worst results of bombings and warfare in human history. Now, nuclear weapons are avoided at all costs.
Adolf Hitler's Presence in the Timeline of World War 2
The timeline of World War 2 may very well have begun at the end of World War 1 in 1918, because only three years later Adolf Hitler was to become the leader of the National Socialist "Nazi" Party in Germany. While he was not yet Chancellor, a dictator, or the Führer he was well on his way to becoming one of the most tyrannical leaders known to the modern world. In 1933, the real timeline of World War 2 begins with the appointment of Hitler as Chancellor of Germany and finally ends in 1945 when the Allies take over the German government.
Adolf Hitler plays an integral and maniacal role in the timeline of World War 2 in that he was the mastermind behind many of the Nazi party's actions. Hitler had it in mind to make a pure race and eradicate any other that would contaminate it, including the Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals, blacks, and any other "non-perfect" race; which was everything except the master race. Hitler's master race was what he called the Aryan race (blonde, blue-eyed, tall).
World War 2 ended in 1945, shortly after Hitler's suicide with mistress, Eva Braun. It was in 1945 that the Allied forces overtook the Axis and reclaimed Europe, ending what was to be known as one of the vilest wars known in modern history. Although more than 60 years have gone by, World War 2, Adolf Hitler, and the Holocaust has been permanently burned into the minds of those who lived through it and those who will only hear about it in history class.
Nazi Invasion of France on the Timeline for World War 2
Every part of the timeline of World War 2 is an integral part of how the war progressed and ultimately ended, but some events are more pivotal than others. The Fall of France, otherwise known as the Battle of France, was the invasion of France and the Low Countries by Nazi Germany and began on 10 May 1940. The battle lasted from May until 22 June 1940 and was a major victory for the Nazis. The Fall of France was executed in two main operations known as Fall Gelb (Case Yellow) and Fall Rot (Case Red). The previous operation involved the Nazis cutting off and surrounding the Allied forces in Belgium and the latter involved the main attack on the larger territory of France.
Eventually France would be divided into several occupation zones including the German occupation in the north and west, the Italian occupation in the southeast, and the collaborationist rump state in the south region. The German occupation lasted from the fall of the nation until the Allied reclamation of the region in 1944. The German occupation of France was essential to the Nazis so that they could continue to have access to certain supplies and materials.
As with any of the battles and war events found on the timeline of World War 2, the Battle of France was a blood one. There was much resistance against the German invasion as Allied forces attempted to fend off the Nazis from entering the territory. It was originally thought that the Nazis could overtake the region in just a few weeks, but it did take quite some time.

The advantage of buying wholesale flowers online is well established. Wholesale purchases are either very large consignments or are termed as minimum order purchases. This means customers buy a quantity of flowers that is considered to be a large purchase by traders. The law of supply and demand justifies these purchases. Increased trade operations can stabilize pricing factors and prove to be favorable for wholesale traders. Such bulk purchases invariably reduce overhead expenses. This is because such consignments can be shipped and packaged together. This reduces expenses incurred on individual packaging and transportation to multiple locales.
When such wholesale purchases are made online, purchase prices are reduced even further. It is a noted market trend that online purchases prove to be reasonably priced as compared to local store purchases. This is because online shops incur minimal overhead and operational costs, as they do not need to pay store rentals, deposits, and pay staff. All these costs are reduced when functioning online. Online flower companies only need to have access to the Internet, and be attentive to orders and enquiries. This helps them pass on low costs to customers, making purchases beneficial for customers.
In case people choose to buy wholesale flowers online, they can expect the lowest possible rates. Apart from considering monetary benefits, buyers need to be attentive to company reputation and delivery terms and conditions. Wholesale traders and persons who need them for weddings, celebrations, Valentines Day, and decorations place such orders. In case of delayed deliveries the purpose is defeated and the discounts are rendered useless. When buying wholesale flowers online, potential customers must read terms regarding flower conditions upon delivery. This is important because these purchases are not worth much, if flowers are wilted and withered upon delivery. At times online flower companies may replace ordered flowers, with other varieties because of non-availability. It is important to read about refunds at such times.
Buy Flowers Online provides detailed information on Buy Flowers Online, Send Flowers Online, Buy Cheap Flowers Online, Buy Fresh Flowers Online and more. Buy Flowers Online is affiliated with Local Flower Shops.
Roses are brilliant gift options and are valued for their appeal. For the same reason, they are a preferred medium for decorations as well. A number of florists, garden centers, and bulk flower marketers are known to gather a considerable profit of this trade. This is because the trade is likely to generate daily profits, as it is a fast moving consumer good.
Consumers can purchase wholesale roses at supermarkets, interior decoratoring stores, and local flower markets. Discounts offered for such orders are not equivalent to discounts received by retailers from wholesale flower sources. Since retailers place much larger orders, they can benefit from considerably low rates. When discussing wholesale roses, the choices are endless and are subjected to seasonal availability.
Florists are likely to purchase wholesale roses as buds so that they last longer. Retailers need to have a sufficient storage facility to stock wholesale roses. A number of cities boast of well-established flower markets. They prove to be a dependable source and cater mostly to retailers who place bulk orders. In case consumers with smaller needs prefer to purchase from wholesale rose markets, it is advisable to be there during special hours designated for such customers.
Prior to choosing a wholesale rose provider, it is wise to engage in comparison-shopping. This helps find a reputed provider who boasts of favorable consumer policies, fresh flowers, and affordable price points. Most wholesale rose stores post adequate information on their websites along with providing prompt deliveries, depending on location. A number of wholesale rose dealers have branches all over the United States. People may choose to place wholesale or minimum order purchases online that boast of reasonable prices. This is because online flower shops incur minimum overhead expenses, which they pass on to clients.

There are various things that are to be kept in mind when someone is involved in a car accident. The following tips are intended to maximize benefits to the victim of a car accident.
The most important thing to do when involved in an accident is to call the police and wait for them to arrive. It is important not to discuss the accident directly with the other driver who is also involved in the accident. However, the thing that takes top priority is to seek immediate medical attention if you have suffered or if you suspect you have suffered an injury.
Often, out of enthusiasm or pity, one tends to discuss matters concerning one's injuries and the accident with the other driver involved in the accident or to some representative of the insurance firm. This could weaken one's case. It is important to remember that one is not under obligation to disclose any information or discuss anything. If one is not careful enough, one could inadvertently disclose some information that seems harmless but could actually end up harming one's case.
The next most important thing to do is to contact a car accident attorney as soon as possible after the accident. Often mental trauma and stress caused by an accident are also liable for compensation. Thus, after receiving the first treatment after an accident, one should find a good attorney and get him to look into your case and the line of treatment that has been recommended, so that you can get the maximum compensation for such "non-economic damage."
Most motor vehicle accidents are previewed under acts of negligence. This is to say that the accident is presumed to have been caused due to the negligent driving by one of the parties involved in the accident.
One also needs to remember that the court takes into consideration the conditions and other factors that led to the accident. The other liability is when the driver is proved to be liable for causing the accident due to his or her intentional or reckless conduct. One needs to keep these things in mind to prevent excessive litigation during a case of car accident.

Car accident settlements can be arranged when an accident causes property damage or injuries. In such cases owners other vehicles involved in the accident and people who are injured in the accident can receive settlements to compensate them for their losses.
Sometimes, car companies are held responsible for injuries and property damage that result from defective cars. Many SUVs and types of tires have been found to be unsafe and recalled.
The car manufacturers must provide all the documents related to the vehicle at the time of the sale. Manufacturer that provide incomplete or inaccurate information are liable for a lawsuit if the vehicle is involved in an accident. SUV models are considered the most deadly due to the number of accidents they were involved in.
Due to the increasing number of car accident settlements, new rules are being passed that will at least ensure that the customer knows all the internal details and statistics of accidents involved with that particular model before buying the vehicle. Also, the vehicles manufactured must be well equipped to face the road and weather conditions of that particular location before it is sold to the public. A few such safety limitations can help reduce the number of car settlement cases that might have been filed due to freakish accidents.
Even though Ford has come up in the media for a large number of accident settlements it is facing, many other manufacturers have also produced vehicles or have committed error by omission by not providing the requisite details and documents to the customer. All these manufacturers can reduce the number of deaths and accident settlements by coming clean with the customer with matters relating to the car make and model. Car Accidents provides detailed information about car accidents, car accident injuries, car accident lawsuits, and more. Car Accidents is affiliated with Drivers Ed Games.
Songs are all based on their lyrics and tunes. Writing the lyrics of a song may seem like something that needs lots of formal training. On the contrary, song lyrics are available everywhere around us. We just have to realize that they’re there.
It is very easy to get lyric writing ideas by listening in to conversations and by monitoring activities around you. There are ideas everywhere, on the radio, magazines, and newspapers and even in your office. You could start out writing your thoughts like a story, and then transform these ideas into lyrics and rhyme. Once you start writing lyrics, you start searching for words that rhyme to make your lyrics rhyme. However, if you can’t get the last words of the lyrics to rhyme, you could try to make the line rhyme halfway as well. However, it is not always that you need to have the lyrics rhyme. Don’t make it seem as if the rhymes have been forced to rhyme by adding words at the end of the line just because they rhyme. Instead, make your rhymes flow naturally into the lyrics.
Never pressure yourself to finish a song on one seating, as this is not practical. Just jot the lines as they come to you, and eventually you will be able to pick up the best of the ideas or phrases to complete the lyrics for your song. As in all other cases, practice makes perfect. The more songs and lyrics you write, the better you will become. To ensure that you don’t neglect your lyric writing, it is better to set aside a regular period everyday to write lyrics, preferably early in the morning when you are fresh and will thus get better ideas. Nowadays, for those who need instant song lyrics, there is even songwriting software available on the internet. Songs provides detailed information on Songs, Song Lyrics, Song Titles, Free Songs and more. Songs is affiliated with Soundtrack Lyrics.
In today's world, many people turn to the internet to find information about any subject that one may think about. One subject that is increasing in popularity is searching for full music lyrics to all and any genres of songs. This is fairly simple to accomplish with a simple search in Google, but some people worry that in the very near future, this may or may not be changing.
Yahoo recently announced a new feature that would allow users to search music lyrics from their site. Yahoo has obtained licensing for tons of artists from many different record labels. In exchange for the allowed use of the music lyrics, Yahoo provides a portion of all advertising revenue gained from the site to the artists and record labels.
Some owners of other music lyrics websites have worried that Yahoo's new system will take away a large portion of their site's traffic. One website I contacted even suggested that they would have to take an additional approach, such as offering a new mobile-based lyrics system for cell-phone users, in response to the loss of advertising revenue due to Yahoo's new music lyrics system. Additionally, some lyrics websites are disallowed from posting lyrics to certain artists or bands due to copyright issues. Yahoo's system is an attempt to get around this problem and offers music lyrics to any song the user would want to search for.
While Yahoo's approach is an elegant solution, there are still a couple of drawbacks to their music lyrics system. Part of the deal agreed upon by Yahoo and various record labels include the requirement for all lyrics to be in picture format versus pure text. This is mainly to prevent users from copying and pasting the text of lyrics and to prevent online robots from crawling their webpage with the sole intent to steal the text of the lyrics. This also has a drawback, as mentioned above. Since the lyrics are in picture format, search engines will not be able to see the text in the lyrics, and searches where users enter a verse from their favorite song will not return a result from Yahoo's system.
Yahoo's music lyrics search also suffers from the fact that the "typical" internet user just doesn't know about it. With Google being the current king of search engines, a good portion of internet users have no idea that Yahoo offers such a system. These users will continue to search for music lyrics as they always have in the past, through a typical Google search. This, coupled with the fact that 90% of search engine traffic comes from Google, will mean that although Yahoo's system is a nice approach, many online music lyrics websites will not be as heavily hit as some once thought after Yahoo's announcement. One thing is for certain: unless Yahoo takes over as the king of search engines, most users will continue to find music lyrics online in the same fashion they have used in the past, through Google.

A dermoid cyst is a pocket or cavity under the skin that contains tissues normally present in the outer layers of the skin. The pocket forms a mass that is sometimes visible at birth or in early infancy but often is not seen until later years. Dermoid cysts are usually found on the head or neck, and sometimes on the face. What causes a dermoid cyst?
A dermoid cyst is a congenital defect (present from birth) that occurs during embryonic development when the skin layers do not properly grow together. A dermoid cyst is lined with epithelium, which contains tissues and cells normally present in skin layers, including hair follicles, sebaceous (skin oil), and sweat glands. These glands and tissues secrete their normal substances which collect inside the cyst, causing it to grow and enlarge. What are the symptoms of a dermoid cyst?
The following are the most common symptoms of a dermoid cyst. However, each child may experience symptoms differently. Symptoms may include a small, often painless, lump in the mid-line of the neck (in which the skin over the lump can easily be moved). The lump may be skin-colored, or may have a slight yellow tinge.
The symptoms of a dermoid cyst may resemble other neck masses or medical problems. Always consult your child's physician for a diagnosis. How is a dermoid cyst diagnosed?
Dermoid cysts are diagnosed by physical examination. Generally, the mass can be easily moved beneath the skin. In addition to a complete medical history and physical examination, diagnostic procedures to determine if the cyst is connected to other tissues in the head and neck may include:
* computed tomography scan (Also called a CT or CAT scan.) - a diagnostic imaging procedure that uses a combination of x-rays and computer technology to produce cross-sectional images (often called slices), both horizontally and vertically, of the body. A CT scan shows detailed images of any part of the body, including the bones, muscles, fat, and organs. CT scans are more detailed than general x-rays.
* magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) - a diagnostic procedure that uses a combination of large magnets, radiofrequencies, and a computer to produce detailed images of organs and structures within the body.
Treatment of a dermoid cyst:
Specific treatment of a dermoid cyst will be determined by your child's physician based on:
* your child's age, overall health, and medical history * extent of the condition * your child's tolerance for specific medications, procedures, or therapies * expectations for the course of the condition * your opinion or preference
Many people now are purchasing various forms of insurance policies and also enrolling in insurance plans. The fact that both people and property can be insured gives people the assurance that no matter what happens, their investments will not be just put to waste.
What insurance plan is purchased is a decision that interested parties need to make. In order to assist people in making these decisions, there are online insurance quotes that provide people the chance to compare and contrast insurance plans and policies.
What are Online Insurance Quotes?
It is important that a person knows the insurance premium or the amount of money that he must pay when he purchases an insurance policy or insurance plan. The amount then gives him the chance to know if he has the capacity and capability to purchase one or not. The act of providing the amount and doing the computations on an insurance plan is referred to as an insurance quote, and when a quote is made available on the Internet, then this is what we call an online insurance quote.
These online insurance quotes are very helpful to people who are planning to buy an insurance plan or policy. With insurance quotes, a person can contrast and compare insurance plans and policies before deciding. Thus, these online insurance quotes assist people in deciding what kind and which insurance plan or policy is the best buy for them.
Are These Online Insurance Quotes Free of Charge?
There are some websites that offer online insurance quotes free of charge. However, you may chance upon other websites that also offer online insurance quotes for a certain fee. This is mainly because these paid online insurance quotes provide more options compared to those offered for free. LCD TVs provide excellent high resolution and crystal clear pictures. At the same time, their design is sleek and trendy. It would mar the entire look of the TV if it were placed on a shoddy stand.
LCD TV stands are available in all shapes and sizes. Stands may be metal, fiberglass, wood or any other conventional material and of various finishes, such as wood enamel, or metallic or even expensive lacquers.
Looks apart, the most important consideration when buying a stand is whether it will support the weight of your television. Most TVs have weight capacities printed in their manuals. Don't be fooled by the size of the stand. A bigger stand does not mean it will bear the weight better. It all depends on what material the stand is made up of.
The second consideration is floor space. If your living room is too big, then you might consider a stand with a swivel. Swivels allow the TV to be turned in any direction around a vertical axis so that it can be seen from all angles of the room. There should be enough space from the wall if you plan on rotating the TV. Stands are also available with wheels and casters, which allow them to be shifted from one room to another. Such portable stands are ideal when there are many rooms in the house.
Design is also important. The look of the stand must complement the décor of the room. Wooden stands go best with traditional looks, while metal and fiberglass stands are better suited to contemporary decors.
LCD TV stands vary in price from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars. If you are creative, you may contract a carpenter and get a stand custom-made according to your requirements.
LCD TVs provides detailed information about LCD TVs, LCD TV reviews, LCD TV monitors, LCD TV wall mounts and more. LCD TVs is the sister site of Industrial LCD Monitors.
Do you require the latest business news on a daily basis? Are you curious about what business insiders and industry opinion makers think about the story behind the business news? If so, then the Wall Street Journal online is the answer to all your needs. Not only is it a great business paper with a hallowed tradition and proven standards of integrity, it is also a terribly good read. It’s more than just a paper about stocks, corporations and the bottom-line. The Wall Street Journal contains some of the best Op Ed pieces around, for information that goes behind the headline and dissects the true significance of business news. The Wall Street Journal is probably unmatched in terms of objective and unbiased reportage, bar none.
I’ve noticed that objective writing, which is one of the tenets of good journalism, has been thrown by the wayside by an increasing number of publications. There seems to be a faint liberal bias in quite a number of newspapers these days, even among the most popular publications. Mostly, there is a tinge of liberalism which has grown even more obvious under the current Republican government under which we function. And although I am not a huge fan of Mr. George W. Bush, when I read a newspaper, I want only the facts because they are what will allow me to decide things for myself. And I don’t want these facts embellished.
I am bothered by the slant that some major newspapers take, which is evident in what they choose to publish and in what they choose to ignore. I sometimes suspect that there is a hidden motive or agenda behind some of the news stories I’ve read. This kind of reportage falls more in the realm of propaganda or black public relations, if you will. That’s why I am a staunch supporter of the Wall Street Journal, because they are objective in every sense of the word.
In my experience, the Wall Street Journal delivers the news in a relatively unfiltered version, and at a discounted price and a convenient manner to boot. Ordering the Wall Street Journal online can cost as little as four dollars a month. In return, you get access to the same articles published in the printed version right on your computer. Most people, myself included, do most of their news reading online anyway, so why not just add the Wall Street Journal to your list.
Admittedly, there’s still nothing like having an actual paper in your hands as you drink coffee and eat breakfast in the morning. That’s the main reason why I subscribe to both the online and printed versions of the Wall Street Journal. And here’s a tip: if you order them together, you get a favorable discount. The Wall Street Journal may be a tad more expensive than most publications, but that’s a small price to pay for quality journalism.

There are plenty of discount and online stores buying slightly outdated hockey equipment from Nike, Adidas, Bauer, Oakley and more, then selling to customers at a fraction of their retail value.
While new hockey equipment can cost thousands of dollars for a full suite of gear for one goalie, discount hockey stores can sell last year’s big-name brand skates for as little as $50, helmets for $100 and chest protectors for just $50. From these dealers you can buy equipment for ice hockey, roller or street hockey, even field hockey. Ask around for the best deals and locations.
Competition in the business of selling discounted hockey equipment online is tough, so online stores offer added incentives like free shipping, gifts jerseys, key-chains and watches. They also provide discounts for bulk orders and concessions for registering on their sites. You can also buy discount hockey equipment from brick-and-mortar sports equipment stores and outlets. If you live near one of these stores, it's worth a trip so that you can take a look at the overall stock and try some of it on for size and feel. Prices may not be as low as for online though, so check out all your options.
The truth is, hockey equipment remains basically the same year after year except for simple design changes. And goalie equipment, being designed for much greater protection than regular equipment, is comprised of more parts and is therefore much more expensive. So, for a street player or small-town team, buying at discount or online can’t be beat. In today's economy, it is sometimes necessary for both parents to enter the workforce. This can be especially stressful if there are small children in the house that will need to go into daycare.
Finding daycare that meets your standards may be tough for some parents, they feel that no one can care for their children as well as they do.
However, quality daycare services can be found, if you know how to go about locating them. Nothing is too good for your child, and daycare is no different.
Different daycares offer different services. Some include food in the tuition, as well as diapers and a change of clothes if necessary. Other offer nothing except a safe place for your children to attend while you are at work.
It is important that you research each daycare you are considering. Daycare services are governed individual states and subject to their rules and regulations. Your states licensing division can assist you in finding out information regarding any daycare service.
Day care services come in different sizes and forms. If you want a more personal one on one relationship for your children, you may want to find a home daycare service provider. These are people, who provide daycare in their own home, however they are governed by the same rules and regulations as the offsite facilities, in some states, they are even more rigid.
Your children are your first priority. If you feel ill at ease with the daycare service you have chosen, it will show in your productivity at work. You need to have confidence in the daycare service that you choose, so it is critically important that you do not chose the first one that you come across.
If you are not sure of what daycare service to chose, ask your family and friends who they use and if they are satisfied with the services that are provided.

Heaven on earth birthday secrets make a birthday into an unforgettable day
Do you love some one with a birthday coming soon? Maybe it is a son or daughter, husband or wife, best friend, or even your 'ex' but you still love them, only in a new way.
Birthdays are the time we can make someone feel special. Here are five key tips for 'specializing' someone on their birthday:
1. Think ahead. Nothing is worse than missing a birthday, or having your card and present arrive late... late wishes always convey the subtext that you weren't really thinking of them or their birthday. List important birthdays on your calendar and review your calendar every weekend to see what's coming up in the next two weeks.
2. Send a card, and possibly a present, 4-7 days ahead of time if you won't be with them on their birthday. Nothing conveys your love and warmth better than the thoughtfulness of sending a card that arrives 1-2 days before the real birthday.
3. Call them on their birthday. They might be busy. You might be busy. But a quick phone call on their birthday again conveys that they are in your thoughts - and in your heart. It's fine to just leave a quick voice mail. The point isn't that you have to speak with them on their birthday, but that they are in your thoughts and they are important enough to you that you took the time to call them.
4. Tell them this. Both in your card, and in your phone call, what matters is expressing your care or love for this person. It's saying the simple, but important words: 'I love you', 'I'm thinking of you', 'you are in my heart today on your birthday'.
Now can you imagine how unforgettable your birthday would be if just some of your friends or family did the above? So start now, and make the world a better place by remembering and expressing birthday wishes to those you love. Free printable birthday cards can be easily found on the Internet and printed on your color printer in moments. When not expressing birthday wishes, Mitch also uses free printable Christmas cards and printable greeting cards.
I have done some studies on Korean food and here are my findings from Korean food experts.
When asked about the taste of their food, Korean eagerly recite the phrase "Hanguk umsikun sackom, dalkom, maekom hago olkun, tchahtchal, ssubssul, kkosohan masida" - Korean food is pleasantly sour, sweet, hot, burning hot, salt, bitter and nutty.
Sourness derives mainly from grain vinegar, herbs, and certain fruits. From honey, grain syrup (before sugar was widely used in Korea), and fruits like pears and jujube comes its sweetness (dolkom).
Sweet and spicy hotness (maekom) gives the food its aggressive exuberance originating from Korean hot peppers. "Deliciously burning hot" (olkunham) is the ultimate expression of delight for Korean hot pepper (afioionados), signifying a spiciness so explosive it can make the diner breaks into a sweat.
Soy sauce or other salty seasoning gives the right touch of salt (tchabtchalham).
The agreeable bitterness (ssubssulham) comes from ginger, ginseng, berries, seeds and certain vegetable and herbs
Nuttiness (kkosoham) comes from a variety of indigenous nuts and seeds including pine nuts, chestnuts, walnuts, gingko nuts, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and sesame seeds.
These combinations of food taste have certainly made Korean dish very unique and delicious. Korean cooking is characterized by thick, warming soups and stews, pickled vegetable (Kim Chi) and a fondness for beef.
The following recipe is one of Korean best known and best loved of Korean's native dishes.
Stir Fried Korean Beef Strips (Kogi Bokkeum)
Ingredient:
350g to 450g lean tender flank or sirloin steak.
Bulgogi Marinade:
1. Ground black pepper or dried red pepper flakes or ground red pepper to taste.
2. 4 tablespoons reduced sodium soy sauce.
3. 2 tablespoons sul (Korean rice wine).
4. 1 tablespoon sesame oil.
5. 1 tablespoon sugar.
6. 1 green onion (scallion, thinly sliced).
7. 2 large cloves garlic, crushed.
8. 3 cm fresh ginger-peeled and finely chopped or grated.
Method:
1. Cut the meat across the grain into pieces ¾ cm thick then into 5x 2 1/2 cm pieces.
2. Combine the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Stir to dissolve sugar. Add the beef strips and mix well to coat all sided. Cover and marinate for 2 hours.
3. Heat wok over high temperature and pour in 2 tablespoons of oil.
4. Add the marinated beef strips along with 2 tablespoons of bulgogi marinade.
5. Stir-fry quickly about 2 minutes until the meat is browned on both sides. Do not overcook.
6. Garnish the dish with some toasted white sesame seeds.
7. Serve together with hot steamed rice and other Korean dishes such as Kim Chi and soup.
Tips:
Prepared bulgogi marinade is often available in jars where soy sauce is sold. This will definitely shorten preparation time for the hurried cook.

William Shakespeare is one of the more amazing writers to come out of England. Here is a quick guide to this amazing writer to get you up to speed.
A Quick Guide to William Shakespeare
There are many debates on who is the greatest writer in history. Some scholars point to more recent authors such as Hemingway and Steinbeck, while others dismiss these writers entirely. One name that comes up more than any other during this type of debate is Shakespeare. His writing, which encompasses the worlds of plays and poetry, is almost universally regarded as some of the best in existence.
The life of William Shakespeare starts with his birth on April 23, 1564. Much about his early life is hypothesized, as there were not many records kept during Elizabethan era. He was born to a family of comfort with a father who was a prominent town official and was probably able to attend a good grammar school and had a decent upbringing. He married Anne Hathaway at age 18 (she was three months pregnant and eight years older than Shakespeare) in 1582. For the rest of the decade, nothing about Shakespeare appears on record, and these years are generally known as his lost years.
By 1592, William Shakespeare was beginning to make his name as a playwright. By 1594, he was also an actor and part owner of a production company known as The King's Men. Obviously, his acting career did not take off or we would be the lesser for it since it would have taken away from his writing. By 1598, his name started to appear on the front pages of his plays as a selling point.
As things progressed, Shakespeare moved to London where he was able to earn enough money to buy a large house in Blackfriars, and own the second largest house in Stratford, New Place. His last two plays were written after 1613 (and after his retirement). Shakespeare died on his birthday, April 23, in 1616. He was still married to his wife Anne and was survived by her and his two children. His daughter went on to marry, but there are no direct descendants of Shakespeare alive today.

Owning a new travel trailer may fulfill your outdoor dreams, but it can also leave a big hole on your pocket. A new travel trailer costs a lot and can definitely hurt your budget. But if you really want or need to own one, instead of renting, a better alternative might be to purchase a used travel trailer.
In general, the value of travel trailers depreciates at a very fast rate. In a year's time or so, a travel trailer could have already depreciated considerably. This makes purchasing a used travel trailer very advantageous. A used trailer would definitely be a lot more affordable than a new one. In fact, you may be able to purchase a used mid-range or full-size, fully furnished travel trailer at the price of a new, small travel trailer.
But just like purchasing a new travel trailer, buying a used one also requires some thought and consideration. In fact, the odds of purchasing a pre-owned travel trailer may even be greater. With a little patience and the proper knowledge, however, overcoming the odds in purchasing a used travel trailer should be easy.
One major issue to consider when purchasing a used travel trailer is the condition of the unit. While a pre-owned travel trailer may look good outside, its interior as well as its mechanical and electrical parts may already be damaged. If this is so, purchasing the unit may cause you more financial problems because of the repairs you would have to make. To overcome this problem, one must give the trailer a thorough inspection before purchasing it. Check every switch and every appliance inside the trailer. Check the water system and the comfort rooms to determine if they are functioning properly. Carefully inspect the motor and the electrical system. If you don't have enough expertise on recreational vehicles, bring or hire someone who has. It will also help if you can test-drive the trailer, just to determine if it is still working properly.
Another thing that you need to consider when buying a used travel trailer is the price. Remember, you are purchasing a used unit so that you can save money; if the dealer puts a price that is too high on the unit, you'll end up defeating your cause. Research is always the key. Determining the cost of travel trailers, however, is easy. There are a lot of price guides that you can make use of, and you can easily find these guides online or in magazines.

Cartoons are fun to read or watch. If you aspire to being the next Walt Disney or even just want to draw something neat to liven up your blog, here's how to learn to draw cartoons.
1. Choose your medium
Are you going for single cartoons, cartoons strips like the Peanuts or are you getting ambitious and want to produce a full scale movie? Each of these will affect how you start out. And if you are just starting out, I'd suggest that you leave the movie until later!
2. Decide on your main character
Are they human or animal? Think of the features they will have. Quite often, cartoons exaggerate certain features and almost ignore other ones. They aren't photographs, so they have much more freedom to do this.
3. Start with a sketch
If you've ever seen a storyboard for a movie, you'll know that it just shows a rough outline of what is going to happen rather than full blown detail. If you're aiming to draw a cartoon strip, it's good to plan out what will happen in each of the three or four frames that will likely make up your final cartoon.
4. Work on your main character
Don't worry about getting things perfect. It's far better to draw something than to agonize over the exact positioning of every line. Check out an early Mickey Mouse cartoon or even an early episode of the Simpsons and compare them with more modern versions. You'll see the characters have developed over the years and, in the case of that famous mouse, are almost unrecognizable when you look at the early and newer versions side by side.
5. Add expression
A cheeky grin or some raised eyebrows go a long way to giving your new creation some character. Unless your main character is supposed to be completely expressionless and unmoving, it pays to give them emotions. If they're angry or scared, you can emphasize that in the next step.
6. Add color
Assuming you are going to display your cartoon on your website or print it off on your color printer, add some color to your drawing. This gives variety for people to look at and helps to bring the cartoon to life. Again, we're not talking reality here. So that purple dinosaur like the one in the Flintstones is fine!
7. Add shade
A few lines of shading go a long way in cartoons. Our minds will fill in the blanks, so there's no need to draw every hair on a hairy leg, just enough to give us some hints and let our imagination join the dots. This is surprisingly effective and will allow you to help your readers imaginations.
8. Add background
Like the shade, this doesn't need to be too detailed. An outline of a pyramid shape if your cartoon is visiting Egypt will do fine. There's no need to draw the complete Sphinx unless your storyline calls for it.
9. Add your caption
Cartoon characters can speak - even animals normally. Will your caption be in the form of a speech bubble or a line below the cartoon?

Ganglion Cysts - Causes, Symptoms and Treatment Methods
A ganglion cyst is a tumor or swelling on top of a joint or the covering of a tendon. It is a fluid filled sac which can be felt below the skin. The cause of these cysts is unknown although they may form in the presence of joint or tendon irritation or mechanical changes. It is also known as a wrist cyst, Bible cyst, or dorsal tendon cyst. It is usually attached to a tendon sheath in the hand or wrist or connected with an underlying joint; however, some have no obvious connection to any structures. It may be soft or hard, may or may not be painful, and may get bigger or smaller on its own. It looks like a sac of liquid (cyst). Inside the cyst is a thick, sticky, clear, colorless, jellylike material. Most commonly, ganglions are seen on the wrist (usually the back side) and fingers, but they can also develop around joints on the shoulder, elbow, knee, hip, ankle and foot. The ganglion cyst often resembles a water balloon on a stalk (see Figure 2), and is filled with clear fluid or gel.
Ganglia can form around any joint but they are most frequently found in the wrist and ankles.Ganglion cysts may be single or multilobulated. They are smooth-walled, translucent, and white. They can increase in size when the tissue is irritated and often can "disappear" spontaneously. These masses or cysts appear to grow sometimes but they are not tumours or cancerous. Ganglion cysts, also known as Bible cysts, are more common in women, and 70% occur in people between the ages of 20-40. Ganglion cysts are generally asymptomatic or minimally symptomatic. Symptoms such as limitation of motion, pain, paresthesias, and weakness are possible. In most cases, ganglion cysts cause no pain and require no treatment. In many cases, ganglion cysts go away on their own. One common type of ganglion, called a mucous cyst, occurs with osteoarthritis of the hands. This type of ganglion is usually found at the joint nearest the fingernail.
Causes of Ganglion cysts
The common causes and risk factor's of Ganglion cysts include the following:
The exact cause of the formation of ganglion cysts is still unknown.
A herniation of the synovial lining of joints and tendon sheaths.
A ganglion develops when a jelly-like substance accumulates in one of two places - a joint capsule or a tendon sheath - and causes it to balloon out.
Some type of injury.
A ganglion cyst might develop after something drops on the foot, if the foot was twisted while walking, or after too much stress was placed on a joint or tendon.
Regular, repetitive movement that stresses your wrist or hand.
Symptoms of Ganglion cysts
Some sign and symptoms related to Ganglion cysts are as follows:
The ganglion cyst usually appears as a bump (mass) that changes size.
The lump is usually soft and immobile.
In some cases, the lump is painful and aching, particularly those at the base of fingers.
Ganglion cysts on the finger may produce deformities of the fingernail.
Pain or tenderness at the site of the bump.
When the cyst is connected to a tendon, you may feel a sense of weakness in the affected finger.
The back of the hands and wrists are most commonly affected.
Treatment of Ganglion cysts
Here is list of the methods for treating Ganglion cysts:
Aspiration usually includes placing a needle into the cyst, drawing the liquid material out, injecting a steroid compound, and then splinting your wrist to keep it from moving.
A steroid solution is injected into the cyst. This is usually done just after aspiration.
If a ganglion cyst tends to reoccur, surgical removal may be recommended.
Acetaminophen (Tylenol) or other over-the-counter analgesics can be used to control mild pain.
Wearing shoes that do not rub the cyst or cause irritation may be advised. In addition, placing a pad inside the shoe may help reduce pressure against the cyst.
A brace or splint may be recommended to immobilize the wrist and reduce swelling.

So you're ready to get out there and do some open water swimming to prepare for your next triathlon? Before you go dipping into your local body of water, keep these tips in mind:
1. Never swim alone. For safety purposes, always swim with a group or bring along a friend. Given the unknown elements, a dangerous situation may arise such as fog, currents, boats, etc. where you will be in much better shape with others around.
2. Adjust to cold water. If the water you are training in is cold, below 66 degrees fahrenheit, be prepared. Wetsuits are necessary. Wearing a swim cap and earplugs can help keep your head warm. Get in the water slowly and only get in for 5-20 minutes the first time out, gradually increasing your time in the water with each swim.
4. Upon exit of your cold water swim, drink warm fluids, take off your wetsuit, and dress warmly.
3. On sunny days, apply sunscreen 30 minutes before getting in (especially for those with light skin!).
4. Be careful of the fog. It is easy to get lost in foggy weather and lose sight of the shore.
5. Watch the seaweed. If you are ocean swimming and come across seaweed, stay high in the water and do not kick. The seaweed can wrap around you if your legs are kicking.
6. Never swim in a lightning storm.
7. Open water swimming can cause chaffing. Use petroleum jelly if this is a problem.
8. Goggle color. Use dark lenses on sunny days, blue lenses on cloudy days.
Open water swimming can be challenging, but for many it is FUN and a nice change from "following the black line" at the bottom of the pool. Enjoy, and remember, "when in doubt, get out."

When creating a pencil sketch from a photo, note that we're not trying to be a photo copier machine and duplicate the same image on another piece of paper.
We're all artists, right? That gives us the right and the license to be creative with our works. Otherwise, why even bother to create a pencil sketch out of a photo in the first place?
But having that right means having the responsibility to exercise sound judgement when it comes to pencil sketching from a photo. What do I mean? Let me explain.
If we're going to create a pencil drawing from a photo, as artists, we have the right to pick and choose what we want to include in the drawing and how we want to draw them.
For instance, you may want to draw a face as a caricature, or you may want to leave some parts of the photo out so as not to distract the audience.
It takes a few tries to get it right. With experience, you'll be more efficient with this. But in general, it's always a good idea to test stuff out first.
You can do so by separating all the different elements in a photo and drawing them out as rough shapes on separate sheets of paper.
Then try to move them around and see what you can come out with. Once you're happy with the composition of the drawing, you may then proceed.
Also, it's important that when you sketch from a photo, always draw instead of trace. Keep moving your pencil fluidly around the surface of the drawing and don't worry too much about mistakes. You can always go back to correct them. The key here is to keep your pencil strokes natural.
If you can keep the above in mind, I'm sure you can draw some great pencil sketches from your photos. Have fun with the activity!

The history of drums ranges back from the age when it was primarily a device to communicate and an instrument used to perform during any rituals or ceremony. The jungle tribes have been using it as a means to send signals to other people of the same tribe or different tribes. Same is the case in the history of Latin drums.
Due to the simple nature of a drum structure, the use of drum has been a worldwide phenomenon. The music, as the saying goes, is without any boundaries. And thus Latin drum that has its influences and origin from the Africa and the indigenous South America is popular around the world.
Recent years have seen the growth in the popularity of the Cuban music, and in turn it has brought a lifeline in the Latin form of music and also in the exposure of Latin drums. The Salsa and the Samba once again have gained popularity throughout the world. The globalization effect has increased the popularity of instruments like, congas, bongos and timbales.
Latin drums include the likes of Bongo, Cajon, Conga, and Timbales. If one considers the name of Latin drums and percussions then we will have a list including instruments as Agogos, Blocks, Bongos, Cabasas, Castanets, Congas, Cow Bells, Cuicas, Egg Shakers, Guiros, Maracas, Pandeiro, Single Reco, Kelly Shaker, Surdos, Tambourines, Tamborim, Timbales and Tubanos.
The above list certainly gives a lot of names to the ordinary drummer who is trying to create a custom drum set. However, such variety is one exciting element, for which drummers all over the world has tended to taken a liking for creating their custom drum kits. Drummers all over the world have been using drums from different parts of the globe. The collection, when played, can generate wonderful music.
Bongo generates the sound when being struck in the low and high pitch sound areas. It's compact size and lightweight has made it one of the favorites among the Latin drums users.
Cajon is used to produce convincing sound and snare effect. Drummers use their hands or use rods and brushes to play this instrument. It, generally, needs a floor stand to keep on the ground.
Blocks are usually made of wood. The block comes in all three variations, viz. small, low and high pitch. Their size is small so it is quite convenient for the drummers to use their hands.
Cowbells come in pairs but it is on the preference of the drummer to use more than two in his collection. Two sticks also come in association with this piece of Latin drum.
Macaras are used to play with two hands in use. They provide style to the collection of the drummer.
To use such a wide range of Latin drums in his collection the drummer also needs to have a good knowledge on the pieces of hardware he uses. There are even more devices that a drummer can use in his already wide compilation of different drums and percussion devices.
Victor Epand is an expert consultant for guitars, drums, and synthesizers. You can find the best marketplace for guitars, drums, and synthesizers at these 3 sites: guitars, acoustic guitars, latin drums, bonjo, cajon, and synthesizers, keyboards.
If a list of America’s “forgotten” wars were compiled, the War of 1812 would certainly rank near the top. Thumb too quickly through any United States history book, and you’re likely to skip right past the scant few pages typically devoted to this conflict.
The goal of this article is twofold: (1) Present a basic understanding of the causes, execution, and aftermath of the War of 1812, and (2) Study coinage types issued by the United States during those wartime years, how coinage was affected by the war, and to measure modern day collector interest in coins from that long ago era.
** (1) Causes of the Conflict ** (2) United States Coinage during the War of 1812 ** (3) The Americans Fight the British Again ** (4) The United States Emerges a Stronger Nation ** (5) Coins from the War of 1812 and Today’s Collectors
** (1) Causes of the Conflict: There are a number of factors causing the Americans to take on the British for a second time. They are:
-- Impressment of American seamen. The British sometimes raided U.S. ships in search of deserters. Often, seamen were seized, or impressed, and foricibly taken away. The most infamous impressment episode occurred in 1807 when the British warship HMS Leopard opened fire on the frigate USS Chesapeake, killing three and wounding 18 before boarding.
-- Desire for New Territories. Pioneers living in the northwestern part of the U.S. were looking for new farmlands, but were not eager to settle the treeless prairies to the west. The timbered regions of southern Canada were more attractive. To the south, denizens of those states eyed Spanish Florida, not only for farming potential, but because the peninsula was a haven for runaway slaves and Indians who regularly attacked frontier outposts. A war with Britain might give the Americans a justification for seizing Florida, since Spain was a close friend of Britain.
-- Native American Relations. As frontiersmen advanced westward, indigenous peoples fought back to preserve their ancestral lands. Encouraged by British Canadian agents, a confederation of Indian tribes, led by a Shawnee chief named Tecumseh, began offering organized resistance. Alarmed westerners demanded retaliation to dissolve this alliance.
-- National Pride. A rising spirit of pride in the new nation also led to the War of 1812. Americans deeply resented British impressment of U.S. sailors. Moreover, many Americans believed it was the foreordained destiny of the nation to expand across the continent, and were prepared to take up arms to further this cause.
Thus, on June 18, 1812, Congress declared war on Great Britain. Support for the war was far from unanimous, however. Many residents of the New England states, represented by the Federalist Party in Washington, refused to support a war against Great Britain, for fear of harming their lucrative maritime trade. Furthermore, New Englanders worried about their shrinking power in the federal government if new states were added. In many respects, the United States was ill-prepared for war, but the lack of unity was the most visible handicap facing the nation.
** (2) United States Coinage Types during the War of 1812 Coinage was not produced in large quantities by the United States during the War of 1812. Of the ten coin denominations stipulated by the 1792 Mint Act, only three of them were struck with any consistency during the war: cents, half dollars, and half eagles. The other seven denominations were scarcely minted or not at all, because of the existence of foreign coin substitutes, bullion weight peculiarities, or other circumstances related to the war. What follows is a review of U.S. coinage types from 1812-1815, the years the War of 1812 was fought, and how their collectible values have progressed in modern times.
++ Half Cent. None issued. ++
Planchets for coining the half cent came to the U.S. from England, up until 1811, when worsening relations between the two nations halted shipments. No one really missed the half cent, as economists of the time questioned the existence of the lowly denomination, given their manufacturing difficulty and limited value in commercial transactions. The half cent would not be minted again until 1825.
++ Large Cent. Classic Head, 1812-1814. ++
England also provided planchets for the one cent coin, and like the half cent, deliveries ceased prior to and during the War of 1812. Cent production continued, but in smaller quantities. By 1814, the planchet supply was exhausted. In September 1815, about nine months after the close of hostilities, planchet shipments resumed, but this did not allow the Mint enough time to issue cents dated 1815. Thus, 1815 is the only year since the U.S. Mint began regular coinage in 1793 that the one cent denomination was not struck.
There are no exceptional one cent rarities from the War of 1812, so the 1813 was selected to represent the denomination in this analysis.
1813 Classic Head Large Cent Values in Year 1950…..Good:$4.00….. F:$10.00…..XF:$15.00 1975…..Good:$27.50…..F:$80.00...XF:$300 2000…..Good:$60.00…..F:$250.…..XF:$1350 2003…..Good:$75.00…..F:$300.…..XF:$1500 2006…..Good:$85.00…..F:$300.…..XF:$2500
++ Half Disme. None issued. ++
The production of the half disme (the “dime” spelling did not come into use until 1837) was suspended after 1805. The Mint stopped coining half dismes because of the widespread use of the legal tender Mexican half real (pronounced “ree-all”), worth about six cents face value. Mint officials reasoned that since the public already had an acceptable alternative, further coining of half dismes was not a good use of their limited resources. Half dismes were minted again in 1829.
++ Disme. Capped Bust, 1814 Only. ++
There were no dismes minted after 1811 until the year 1814, when a whopping 421,500 came off the coining presses. The 1814 disme tally nearly exceeded disme production of the previous 18 years combined, since its inception in 1796. No dismes were struck again until 1820. As was the case with half dismes, dismes were not particularly in demand, as their role in commerce was being somewhat filled by Mexican coinage, so why the sudden surge in disme interest? Perhaps someday a researcher will find the answer.
The 1814 was the only disme issued during the War of 1812, but fortunately, many examples have survived. There are three varieties of the 1814 disme, all of which are fairly equal in value. The large date variety is examined here.

++ Quarter. Capped Bust, 1815 Only. ++
No quarters were minted between 1807 and 1818, with the sole exception of the year 1815, when 89,235 were struck. Similar to the other smaller silver coins, the need for the quarter was largely obviated by the circulation of the Mexican double real, worth exactly the same face value (the phrase “two bits”, meaning 25 cents, originated with the usage of the double real). Mint officials had no plans to produce any quarters in the summer of 1814, when a large shipment of Mexican silver dollars arrived from a New Orleans bank, accompanied by a letter requesting the silver be coined into quarter dollars and returned to the bank. After some hesitation, the Mint delivered more than 69,232 quarters in December 1815, followed by another 20,003 a month later. All bore the date of 1815.
For collectors hoping to add a quarter directly connected to the War of 1812 years, the 1815 issue is their only choice.

++ Half Dollar. Capped Bust, 1812-1815. ++
The half dollar was perhaps the most important coin issued by the Mint the first few decades of the 19th century, not just during the War of 1812. Indeed, it became the “coin of the realm”, and was produced continuously throughout the war, usually numbering more than a million pieces annually. A primary reason why the Mint saw fit to produce so many half dollars is because there were no foreign coin substitutes of equal face value to serve the public. Also, half dollars were instrumental in bank transfers. However, only 47,150 halves were struck in 1815, the lowest mintage of the entire Capped Bust half dollar series. The financial burden of paying off the war debt sent the U.S. economy reeling, greatly reducing the demand for coinage.
War of 1812 half dollars exist along the full range of the rarity spectrum. Included in this analysis is a common date (1814), a semi-key (1814, 4 over 3), and a couple of key dates (1812, 2 over 1 large 8 and 1815, 5 over 2).

++ Silver Dollar. None issued. ++
Silver dollar coinage was discontinued in 1804, and did not resume until 1836. The silver dollar circulated in the United States alongside the Spanish pillar dollar (also called the Pieces of Eight) for a short while, until it was observed by entrepreneurs that the U.S. dollar could be exchanged at par with the pillar dollar in the West Indies. This was a profitable scenario, for the U.S. dollar weighed less and contained a lower percentage of silver compared to the pillar dollar. Traders deposited their pillar dollars at the Philadelphia Mint, where they were re-coined for them into a larger number of U.S. silver dollars. The new silver dollars were exported overseas, where the cycle repeated itself. Taking note of this abuse, the U.S. suspended the silver dollar in 1804.
++ Quarter Eagle. None Issued. ++
The 1792 Mint Act set the silver/gold ratio in the United States at 15:1, much in line with the European markets. In 1803, France adjusted the silver-to-gold ratio to 15.5:1, making it profitable to export American gold coins to France for melting. Because so many gold coins left the country as soon as they exited the Mint, U.S. gold coinage was greatly curtailed throughout the earliest decades of the 19th century. Quarter eagle production ceased after the one year issuance of the Capped Draped Bust type in 1808. U.S. gold coin exportation intensified during the War of 1812, when the silver/gold ratio in Europe was elevated to more than 16:1. Quarter eagle production resumed on a small scale in 1821, by which time the uncertainty of war and economic turmoil had subsided.
The half eagle was the only U.S. gold coin struck during the War of 1812. Some demand existed from banks seeking half eagles to hold in reserve and to make international payments. About 170,000 “fives” were coined during those years, a considerable sum indeed by comparison to its contemporary coinage. Of that total, only a tiny fraction, perhaps 1% or so, survives to this day because of heavy melting losses influenced by the same European bi-metallic ratios that spelled doom for so many U.S. gold coins.
Representing the half eagles in our War of 1812 coinage study are a relatively common date, the 1812 Draped Bust, and an exceedingly rare specimen, the 1815 Capped Head.

++ Eagle. None Issued. ++
The ten dollar gold eagle was the largest United States coin denomination mandated by the 1792 Mint Act. More than 130,000 eagles were struck from 1795 to 1804, but most of them eventually perished in the melting pot. None were produced again until 1838. It is a safe assumption that even had gold eagles existed in abundant quantities, few combatants in the War of 1812 would have carried any of the coins, for ten dollars represented a princely sum in early 19th century America and was not typical pocket change for a battlefield soldier or midshipman. When gold eagle production restarted in 1838, it was characterized by a lighter coin of less gold purity, a move designed to frustrate bullion profiteers.
As wartime costs mounted, much of what little coinage there was nearly disappeared from view as specie (i.e. silver and gold coins) became tightly held. Banks suspended specie payments in 1814, because the supply of bank notes being issued to finance the war increased faster than the volume of specie reserves. Confidence in banks and the economy were shaken badly, but the situation improved when Congress chartered the Second Bank of the United States in 1816. The Second Bank helped stabilize the nation’s financial system, and by early 1817, banks resumed specie redemption of their paper notes.
** (3) The Americans Fight the British Again The United States was not ready to take on the British Empire in 1812. As mentioned already, the country was badly divided. What’s worse, army and state militias numbered only about 7000 men at the outset of the war, most of them poorly equipped and trained. The navy’s dozen ships seemed no match to the 800 warships of the British Royal Navy. In retrospect, the U.S. faced dim prospects of fighting a successful war.
-- The Canadian Front: The first major fighting of the War of 1812 was the American attempt to invade British Canada in the summer of 1812. The incursion was not only repelled, but the U.S. actually ceded ground, loosing Detroit to a combined force of Redcoats and Native American warriors. The following year, the Americans reclaimed the lost territory when Captain Oliver H. Perry surprised the British on Lake Erie. “We have met the enemy and they are ours”, wrote Perry, remembered to this very day as one of the proudest moments in all of U.S. naval tradition. The loss forced the British to abandon Detroit, and the Americans pursued them into Canada. At the Thames River, the U.S. defeated the British and their Indian allies. In the battle, Tecumseh was killed, and with his death, his confederation of Native American tribes disintegrated. Throughout the remainder of the war, the Canadian front was fought to a stalemate.
-- The British Burn Washington: By the summer of 1814, British landing parties were ravaging towns along the Atlantic coastline. In August, 4000 Redcoats marched on Washington D.C., setting fire to the U.S. Capitol building, the White House, and other government facilities. In a serious blow to national pride, President Madison was compelled to flee the city. With little time to evacuate, the President’s wife, Dolley, secured the Gilbert Stuart portrait of George Washington, lest it fall into enemy hands. As the flames intensified, a rainstorm struck the city and dowsed the inferno, preserving most of the buildings from total ruin.
-- The Defense of Baltimore and the Star Spangled Banner: After sacking Washington, the British next targeted Baltimore. No conquest of the city was possible without first vanquishing Fort McHenry, which guarded the entrance to Baltimore’s harbor. The troops manning the fortress unfurled a giant 30’ x 42’ American flag, visible for miles. On the morning of September 13, 1814, British warships unleashed a ferocious bombardment of Fort McHenry. The shelling continued all day and into night. It so happened that an American lawyer named Francis Scott Key observed the battle from afar. As the evening wore on, the red glare of rockets lit the darkness, proving the U.S. flag was still flying. A few hours after midnight, the bombing stopped, followed by silence. At the first glimmer of dawn’s early light, Key was thrilled to see the great star spangled banner blowing in the breeze… the British had given up and were heading back to sea. Inspired by this dramatic outcome, Key scribbled some poetry on the back of an envelope, words that would someday become the U.S. national anthem.
-- The Battle of New Orleans: The British high command decided the capture of New Orleans would help tilt the outcome of the war in its favor. With this in mind, a force of 10,000 troops was dispatched from Jamaica. American general Andrew Jackson hastily assembled an odd assortment of 5400 men, composed of woodsmen, pirates, sailors, “free men of color”, and a few regulars. Jackson set up a defensive position outside New Orleans, shielding his army behind a water trench and stacked cotton bales. On January 8, 1815, General Edward Pakenham led the British charge against the American stronghold. Waiting patiently, Jackson’s men held their fire until the last possible second, mowing down the first line of Redcoats. Wave after wave met the same bloody fate. By the time the British retreated, Pakenham was dead, and about 2000 of his men were killed or wounded. American casualties were minimal. The Battle of New Orleans was the largest engagement of the War of 1812, and was won decisively by the United States.
Peace talks between the warring nations began in August 1814 at Ghent in Belgium. Negotiations were fought to a draw, somewhat mimicking combat results. Language in the treaty primarily called for a cease of hostilities. The Treaty of Ghent was signed on December 24, 1814, but did not reach the United States in time to prevent the Battle of New Orleans.
** (4) The United States Emerges a Stronger Nation According to the US Department of Veteran Affairs, a total 286,730 Americans served in the War of 1812, of which 2260 were killed in action, and 4505 wounded. Despite the losses, the U.S. emerged from the War of 1812 a stronger nation, in a number of ways:
-- Stimulated Growth of U.S. Domestic Industry: The pre-war embargoes and British naval blockades forced American manufacturers to begin making goods of the type formally imported from Europe. Factories thrived, and interstate commerce became a large business.
-- Disputes Settled Peaceably: The Treaty of Ghent did not directly resolve any disputes between the United States and Britain, but did provide the framework for negotiated settlements later. Within a few short years, important agreements were reached on maritime rights, international trade, and Canadian border policies.
-- Unified the Country: Banding together to hold off a major world military power, the American people emerged from the War of 1812 with a much stronger sense of unity. The war’s outcome also sealed the doom of the anti-war Federalist Party, leaving the Democratic-Republicans (the forerunner of today’s Democrats) as the only influential political party in America. So unified was the country, the period 1817-1825 came to be called the “Era of Good Feelings”.
The time following the War of 1812 was like no other in the history of the United States. Finally done with European entanglements, Americans vigorously accepted the challenges of opening new frontiers to the west. Patriotism abounded, leaving political strife mostly behind. Technological innovations and factories brought jobs to many in the northeast, and cotton gave rise to southern prosperity. For a short while, the American people were unified in a sense of national purpose, but as different sections of the country took on competing social visions, the bonds holding the country together weakened with the passage of time. Disagreements led to rancorous debate, which tragically, spawned a civil war of devastating proportions in the 1860’s.
** (5) Coins from the War of 1812 and Today’s Collectors The coins included in the value trend analysis presented in Section 3 are a good representation of coinage produced during the War of 1812 era. All of them have advanced some in recent years, a few spectacularly so, as the coin market in general has been hot. Over the long haul, no one should expect to see this torrid pace continue. When long range performance is combined with what has happened in the last few years, we get a better understanding of true esteem held by today’s collectors for these coins. Here is how we rank the coins in our War of 1812 survey, with the coins most likely to enjoy future appreciation listed at top:
1812 half eagle 1814 half dollar 1815 half dollar 1814 half dollar 4 over 3 1813 cent 1812 half dollar 2 over 1 1815 quarter 1815 half eagle 1814 disme
Coin collectors hoping to obtain artifacts from the War of 1812 that also have some upside potential are advised to concentrate their purchases to the coins at the top of the list. As always, a good rule of thumb is to obtain the best properly graded condition affordable.
Whether your desire is to hold your War of 1812 coins as if they were commodities and hold until profit objectives are met, or if you intend to pass the coins on to your heirs, always remember the connection your coins have to a unique time in American history. The War of 1812 was a very perilous event for the United States; had it not been for a propitious rainstorm hitting Washington DC on August 24, 1814, or for a handful of stubborn patriots defending Fort McHenry a few days later, who knows, America may well have been reclaimed as a British colony. Had history taken another path, one just as easily traveled, the War of 1812 coins might have been the final coins ever minted by a short-lived, long ago forgotten nation called the United States of America.

Both the inside and the outside of the flute need to be cleaned. It is important to clean the inside because you don't want your metal to corrode. Cleaning The outside is important because you don't want the flute to look gross or the silver plating (if you have that) to wear down.
Inside:
Your flute should come with a rod that has a long skinny hole at the end of it. Go to a store and buy a handkerchief; put about half of the handkerchief through the hole in the rod and put the rod and the cloth through the flute a few times. When you do this make sure that the flute is in the three separate pieces; clean all three pieces. The head joint will be the hardest of the three because the rod will not go all the way through the entire piece.
Outside:
It really depends on how dirty your flute is. If you just purchased a used flute, or you have never cleaned the outside of your flute and it is really dirty, you might consider having a professional clean it. If it is shinny but just a little dirty, you can use a silver polishing cloth to clean it; you can get these at almost any music store. You can also use that same handkerchief that you use for the inside on the outside. Saliva is a good cleaner for the outside of the flute!
Under no circumstance should you ever run the body of your flute under water. The pads on your flute are not meant to get wet, and if they do, they will expand and could cause damage.

When you need to do manicure or pedicure at home, it is very important to have knowledge of it in general, and the requirements in particular. If you feel the need of a system of manicure / pedicure and wandering, then the following mentioned system would be of great help to you. So for creating a perfect manicure / pedicure system at home, you will need the followings: * 1 pack of cotton balls * 1 polish remover * 1 emery board * 1 nail trimmer * 1 cuticle remover * 1 bottle fingernail polish * 2 toe separators * A couple of paper towels
Now you definitely would be interested to know, how the abovementioned items will help you in doing manicure / pedicure.
Nail polish removing:
Take cotton balls as many as you need them, soak each finger well with nail polish remover, so that your fingernails true color start appearing. Use a very less quantity of nail polish remover to remove the nail polish. Since nail polish is extremely drying, never soak the nail in it, especially the cuticle. Keep the good contacts of your nails with the nail polish.
Soaking and removing cuticles:
Your cuticle is like a fore skin. It is found at the bottom of your nail, where finger nail cartilage and skin meets. To remove cuticle, soak your nail in warm water for 3 minutes or less. Now use cartilage remover to push the cuticle down.
Trimming your fingernails:
To trim out toenails, use nail clippers. To reshape or shorten nails, simply use nail clippers. If your nails are hard, soak them in water before trimming. If you have soft nails, do not trim after bathing or washing, because in doing so you may cause damage, which sometime may lead to infection. Do not cut too short toenails, because doing so increase the chances of developing ingrown toenails.
Filling Nails:
Use emery board to make your fingernails smooth and good looking. You can use emery board to smoothen the ends of your fingernails. Do not use emery board to scrap your natural nail surface at all. This will make the nails surface rough.
Exfoliating & Moisturizing Hands and Feet:
Now use sugar wash to massage your feet, legs, arms and feet. Rinse your hands first and then use pumice stone to rub away callus and other rough surfaces on the bottom of your feet. Now, rinse the scrub of your feet and legs. Now, use moisturizer or some other soothing cream for your hands and feet that may heal a cracked and roughdry skin.
Polishing Nails:
Remove excess moisturizer using polish remover. Polish your nails and dry them between coats, preferably minimum of four coats. If you have weak or brittle nails, place one or two coats of ridge filling nail polish on the nail as base coat to shore up the nail. Two coats of a colored nail polish are next, followed by a topcoat to add luster. Use foam toe separators to fingers, while polishing. Allow drying the polish.

Accidents can happen anywhere to anyone. If you have been involved in an accident, it is important to claim for it immediately. This involves a claim for damages or compensation for any injury caused in the accident.
Types of Accident Claims
Accident claims can be of several types. The most common accident claims include road and work accident claims. Most people start the process for neck whiplash injury and back injury, which are some of the most common injuries in accidents.
Before You File Your Claim
The first thing to do is contact a doctor or hospital. This will also help your accident claim process, as you have proof of the physical injuries and pain.
Write down all the details that will help your claim process such as the date, time, place, contact details of witnesses, etc. Photographing the evidence is also necessary.
Contact a lawyer as soon as possible. Most lawyers in the UK operate on a "no win, no fee basis." This simply means that you do not have to pay your lawyer anything if your claim is not successful. A good lawyer can guide you through all accident claim processes and ensure that you receive the compensation you deserve.
In essence, the accident claim process involves showing that an individual or a company was responsible for your safety, but out of negligence, caused you injury. Usually, one of the first steps in the accident claim process is a letter to the person responsible for the accident.
• Car accident - The insurer of the person at fault is responsible for ensuring that you receive compensation. Often, insurers and lawyers of the person at fault might try to settle for an out-of-court settlement.
• Work accident - Most organizations are insured for accident claims. If you can prove negligence on the part of your employer, your accident claim process is likely to be successful.

A recent online survey of PC gamers has revealed that "The Sims" is one of the most popular and best-selling games of all time.
Electronic Arts, distributors of the game, announced that the virtual-life game created by Will Wright and Maxis, has sold over 7 million copies worldwide (2002) to dethrone Myst as the top-selling computer game of all time. If you combine The Sims with all its expansion versions, The Sims series will have accounted for more than 13 million sales worldwide.
The Sims was first released on February 4, 2000 and, since then, seven expansion packs and a sequel, The Sims 2, have been released.
The great appeal of the game is that, instead of meeting a set of objectives, players engage in a fully interactive environment and are encouraged to make choices about everyday living. It is up to the player to decide how he wants to spend his "virtual day," with the only real objective being how to organize his time and activities to help him reach his personal goals.
Like real people, Sims (which also refers to the virtual character in the game as well as the game itself) have a certain amount of free will, which means they can choose to ignore a player's commands and do something else that they think is more important, just like real people. For example, you may want to make them go to the supermarket or visit a friend, but if their energy level is too low, the Sim may just decide to sleep instead to build up his energy reserves.
The game calls for players to make decisions for their Sim characters about personal development (such as adding specific activities like exercise and reading to enhance creativity, and logic), personal hygiene (how often he must clean the house, do the dishes or take out the garbage), personal finances (what kind of job does he take on and how does he spend his income), eating, and sleeping.
Let's say the Sim does not have enough eat or sleep, or has not created a healthy environment, they could get sick and die. If the Sim does not have enough recreational activities, his fun level bar falls and he becomes depressed (but never to the point that he commits suicide).
Players also have control over how their Sim character relates with other characters. They can make their Sim a nasty person who insults, slaps or even attacks other Sims, which usually means they get insulted, slapped and attacked in return.

Allergic rashes are just part of daily life for many people. Not only are they uncomfortable, painful and just down right hard to live with they are also treatable at home. With the right home treatments your irritated skin can feel soothing relief so you can get on with your life comfortably!
Home Treatments For Allergic Rashes
Moisturizers: Using standard moisturizing creams and lotions can give relief to your rashes. They accomplish this by coating the skin with a protective film that stops moisture from being evaporated into the air and holding it in your skin.
Oatmeal Baths and Soap: This treatment will re lubricate your skin and relieve the itching and burning of your rashes. You can also use an oatmeal based soap because it will not take the natural oils from your skin when you bath.
Hydorcotisone Cream: this cream is a low level steroid cream that has proven itself very successful in treating rashes and eczema. It also has been proven to heal cracked and dry skin much faster then normal moisturizers can.
Humidifiers: Adding a humidifier in the room that you sleep in can help your skin rehydrate during sleep. This is especially important in the dry cold winter months of the year.
Rash Source: Try and determine things are places that cause your allergic rashes to flare up and avoid them. Simple things like your friends dog or the plant near your desk at work all can trigger outbreaks so always be aware of what triggers or irritates your rashes.
While allergic rashes can be treated effectively with home remedies you should still consult with your doctor and discuss treatment options and ideas. And never try and treat rashes yourself that appear infected or are very painful, seek medical attention for this type of severe rash.

HDTV is growing in popularity and with good reason....
Many consider HDTV to be one of the greatest inventions since sliced bread. By providing wider pictures with enhanced details and the clear look of a movie screen, it's no wonder so many people are excited about this revolutionary product. In comparison to standard television, HDTV images hold twice the definition both vertically and horizontally and are a full 1/4 wider than a normal television set.
However, the biggest draw for HDTV is its clear picture. Plus, when you add in the the sound quality, you begin to understand why so many folks are rapidly swithching to HDTV. HDTV pictures contains close to 1100 lines in comparison to only 500 in a normal tv set. While you can possibly see the lines in a normal tv set, you will likely not detect the lines in an HDTV set.
There are a few varieties of hdtvs; hd traditional projection tvs, hd flat panel tvs, and hd advanced micro displays. The first is hd traditional projection tvs. This type of hdtv offers larger screen sizes and lower prices, but this hdtv also takes up more space, is quite heavy, and has a thinner viewing angle than other forms of hdtv. Next, is hd flat panel hdtv. This hdtv is thin and lighter and is a type of hdtv that can hang on a wall.
Most of these types of hdtv are HD ready and provide the widest viewing angle and the highest contrast. However, with this hdtv technology usually comes a higher price. Finally, there is the hd advanced micro displays. These hdtvs offer a lightweight design and advanced technology without the expense of flat panel hdtv. These hdtvs are hd ready and provide a big viewing angle, quality contrast, and have a replaceable light sources.
All signs point towards hdtv being the wave of television's future. With it's clarity, sound quality, and wider viewing angle, hdtv will likely become the standard for television viewing and broadcasting in the immediate future.

In the last few decades, the concept of a spa treatment has undergone a widespread revolution, both in America and the rest of the world. While spas were once seen as the domain of only the rich and famous, today a variety of people see attending a day spa or a spa holiday as a wonderfully relaxing and rewarding way to spend their time and money. Moreover, spa breaks have become less of a female-only domain, with more men now indulging in the luxury that spa treatments provide.
Traditionally, the name "spa" comes from the town of Spa in Belgium, which is famous for its hot thermal baths (balneotherapy) and mineral water treatments (hydrotherapy). While spa towns have historically been concentrated in Europe, hot springs in the USA have acquired similar importance for spa treatments, as their high mineral content is especially suitable for hydrotherapy. Modern day spas, however, incorporate a wide range of body treatments, including a wide variety of facials, massages, body wraps, aromatherapy and even yoga or meditation classes.
Spa massages are a common treatment enjoyed by people visiting day spas or on spa holidays. Spa massages rely on more than the simple practice of applying pressure to the body's muscles and tissues. Instead, these types of massages are much more complex in character, with visitors to spas being able to choose from a wide-ranging list of massages that offer different benefits. The treatment of Myofascial Release, for example, involves the freeing of fascial muscles, while neuromuscular therapy is used for pain relief and specific problems with structural and postural imbalances. Spa massages can also incorporate a wide range of national massage techniques: for instance, petrissage is an important form of the Swedish massage technique, while 'Lomilomi' is an ancient form of massage based on traditional methods employed by Hawaiian healing specialists.
Spa treatments are as much a beneficial activity for medical and healing reasons as they are for fun and indulging in a bit of relaxation. Of late, spa locations and spa hotels have become venues for spa parties or spa dates and also offer a sophisticated way to spend a bachelorette or ‘hen’ party for brides-to-be. Many spas even offer a "Couple's Treatment", so that a couple can indulge in the fantastic releases of spa treatments together. Moreover, spa gift certificates are becoming popular; so if you haven’t indulged in a spa treatment yet, what are you waiting for? The benefits - both physically and emotionally - could be endless.
What causes ingrown hair is not a mystery. There are several causes listed below and there are several ways to remove ingrown hairs.
What causes ingrown hairs?
* Too much oil in the hair follicles can cause ingrown hairs. Make sure you clean your face and other affected areas often to remove excess oil. * Lack of skin moisture can cause ingrown hairs to develop. Try drinking plenty of water to improve your skin moisture. * Sometimes using wax, electrolysis or tweezing can cause skin irritation. During the healing process, hairs may get caught in the healing skin. * People that have stiff hair or thick hair may be prone to ingrown hairs. Men should shave their face each day if they are having problems with ingrown hairs. * A build up of dead skin cells can cause ingrown hairs. By using a wash cloth during a shower or bath you can help remove dead skin. * If you shave, make sure your blade is not too sharp. I know this sounds wrong but if you take too much skin off there is a good chance that you will develop ingrown hairs.
What can be done about ingrown hairs?
* Use a non-oily moisturizer often. Keeping your skin moist will help prevent ingrown hairs. * Before removing hairs, allow them to grow longer. * There are several ways to remove hair, so try some of the following techniques and see which ones work best. Creams, shaving, electrolysis, tweezing and laser hair removal are all good methods to prevent ingrown hair. * Exfoliate your skin often. * Clean your skin often. Take care to clean your skin in areas that are prone to ingrown hairs especially after a workout. * Don’t shave against the grain. Shave with the grain.
Removing ingrown hairs is a matter of experimentation. Some methods work for some people and not for others. There are several new all natural products that inhibit hair grown and could be used to prevent ingrown hairs. Removing ingrown hairs is possible, just stick with it.

Dogs, like all of us, need a haven to turn to, when they need to rest or sleep or simply to idle away their time. And for their comfort, we do need to buy or make a dog house.
Making a dog house can be a tedious job, especially for those who have practically no experience or skill at carpentry. Dog houses can either be made from scratch by buying required materials and tools, or assembled together by buying dog house kits, which include all materials as well as instructions for assembling them into a dog house. Spirit Elements, House of Hammocks, Scott’s Dog Supply, Inc, KITGUY, and seeFido are some companies that sell dog house kits. Insulation and shipping costs are usually extra. Kits cost anywhere from $99 to $600.
Hundreds of dog houses, all of different designs, prices, material, and sizes, flood the market. It can be extremely confusing in selecting the right house for our dog. Before going on this exciting journey of dog house choosing, customers should always keep in mind their budget, the size of their dog or dogs, and finally, about the type of dog house they really want and which will suit them and their dogs the best.
Research shows that among wooden dog houses, cedar houses are usually preferred by all customers. Multitudes of beautifully-designed dog houses exist, which are built with cedar wood. Cedar Chalet Dog House, seeFido, Pet Street Mall, House of Hammock, B4UBuild, Angelical Cat House, Wal-Mart, and Spirit Elements are some companies which sell wonderful cedar dog houses in an amazing variety of designs.
Petmate, Future Pets, and Petsmart offer igloo-shaped and other portable dog houses. Luxury houses and other custom dog houses can be obtained from companies like La Petite Maison and Lilliput Play Homes.
Whatever be the shape, size, and type of dog house, it is always advised to keep it clean and free from bacteria. After all, dogs deserve a comfortable home too, just like us. The responsibility to provide them one rests with us.
Dog Houses provides detailed information about dog houses, dog houses for sale, small dog houses, large dog houses and more. Dog Houses is the sister site of Dog Tags Web.
This article introduces the educational solutions module of the world’s most recent personal and professional problem solving site, describing competitive offerings, the customer profile, problem-oriented solutions, target markets, product offerings, and usability features. It concludes that the module is a major contribution to the information superhighway.
Introduction
The aim of this article is to introduce to the world the educational solutions module of the world’s most recent personal and professional problem solving site. The article is addressed to those readers who may have an educational problem bogging them and who may therefore be looking for a way out of their predicament. The reader may be a parent, child, or student.
It is a common fact of life that we all have problems and that we are often frustrated or we tend to lash out because of our inability to find accessible and reliable information about our problems. This specialist site fills this need – as our pragmatic friend for solving our educational problems.
To be of the greatest use to people a problem solving site must combine pragmatic discussions of their personal or professional problem with merchant products that provide more detailed information. Typically, the web site will provide free information in the form of news, articles, and advice, which direct the visitor on what to do to solve her problems. Complementing this, the web site will also provide merchant products which discuss in detail how the visitor can go about resolving her problem. This means that the most effective, visitor-oriented problem-solving site will be an information-packed commercial site – and so is the world’s most recent personal and professional problem solving site and its specialist sites.
The approach that we have adopted below is to describe competitive offerings, the customer profile, problem-oriented solutions, target markets, product offerings, and usability features.
Competitive Offerings
The following are the top educational sites on the Internet, along with their offerings.
US Department of Education. It defines the US education policy and provides information on financial aid, educational research and statistics, grants and contracts, and teaching and learning resources.
Educational Testing Service. It provides a range of test resources.
FunBrain.com. It provides educational games for K-8 kids.
PrimaryGames.com. It provides fun learning tools and games for kids.
GEM. It provides educational resources such as lesson plans and other teaching and learning resources.
Education World. It provides advice on lesson plans, professional development, and technology integration.
NASA Education Enterprise. It provides educational materials and information relating to space exploration.
Spartacus Educational. It is a British online encyclopedia that focuses on historical topics.
Department for Education and Skills. It is a UK government department site that offers information and advice on various educational and skills topics.
Times Educational Supplement. It offers teaching news, teaching & educational resources, and active forums to help UK teachers. All these sites are useful in the domains that they cover. Their main limitations are as follows:
1. They tend to cover only a very narrow segment of the educational market. 2. They do not take as their starting point the daily educational needs of the typical family. 3. They lack a problem focus; i.e., they do not formulate the typical learning and educational problems that pupils, students, and parents face on a daily basis. 4. As a result of the preceding point, the solutions offered are not as incisive (i.e. as problem-centred) as they could be. 5. They do not offer merchant products that deepen the visitor’s understanding of her problem and of the consequent solutions.
The educational solutions module of the world’s most recent personal and professional problem solving site addresses these problems by targeting a multiplicity of market segments, adopting a customer profile that fits the typical education-pursuing family, considering the specific needs or problems that this family may face, offering incisive (problem-centred) solutions to the various problems, and offering a range of merchant products that deepen the visitor’s appreciation of her problems and of the solutions that are applicable to them.
Customer Profile
The customer profile or target visitor characteristics of the educational solutions module is the same as for all specialist sites of the world’s most recent personal and professional problem solving site. The site has been designed to meet the needs of visitors who have an educational problem bogging them. It is designed for both males and females, even though it is often convenient to refer to just one sex when writing.
This visitor uses search engines to research information about her personal or professional problem, with the intention of finding solutions to it. The visitor is serious about solving her problem and is therefore willing to buy products that help her to achieve her mission, provided that she can find reliable and honest information about relevant products so that she can make an informed decision about which ones to acquire. This information will help her to apply her finances economically, and hence avoid wasting money.
The visitor will want a money-back guarantee so that if a product does not live up to expectations or if she were misled into buying a product she can get a refund. Such a guarantee absolves her of purchase risks.
The visitor is intelligent (without necessarily being a genius), educated (without necessarily being a PhD), computer literate (without necessarily being a computer guru), and money-minded (without necessarily being a freebie hunter or an unemployed person). This of course does not mean that freebie hunters or unemployed persons cannot gain a thing from the site. To the contrary, there is a great deal of free information on the site. Just that it is hard to see how anyone can gain the full benefits of the site without buying products.
The visitor wants high quality information products (usually in digital form) and wants to pay the cheapest price for these (without paying so much emphasis on price that she compromises quality). The visitor also wants free bonus offers that are attached to the purchased goods.
The visitor is self-reliant and can cope on her own by reading, digesting, and applying advice about her problem until she solves it or discovers that she needs help from a professional, at which point her acquired knowledge will help her to reduce her consulting fees. As a result of the knowledge gained, the visitor will be able to assess consultants in order to avoid incompetent or fraudulent ones.
Problem-Centred Solutions
Our free solutions are organised in the form of pragmatic articles that are written by top experts. Each article addresses a specific daily problem, but does not go into detail. It explains the problem and tells the visitor what she must do to solve her problem. However, it does not tell the visitor how she must solve it – this is too much for an article. To find out about the how, the visitor must buy a product (usually an e-book or e-book set) that goes into greater depth.
The set of educational articles that we have chosen, to provide initial solution to a visitor’s problem are as follows:
Signs of a Gifted Child – Informs parents on how to identify whether or not their children are gifted.

At the end of each article is a list of merchant products that supplement the article’s content. A link is also included for accessing the educational product catalogue.
Target Markets and Product Offerings
Now let us turn to the target markets and their associated product offerings. We have positioned the segments to address the various needs of a visitor over a period of time, and at any given time a customer may belong to one or more of the market segments. There are three general classes of products offered: ClickBank products, Google products, and eBay products. Google and eBay products are presented on each page of the site. ClickBank products are grouped into product categories that match the target markets. These categories and their markets are as follows.
Children and Parenting. This consists of visitors who want parenting solutions for improving their children’s upbringing. Their needs are met through the Children and Parenting section of the educational product catalogue.

Usability Considerations
Usability has been enhanced to make it easy for the visitor to find solutions to her problem, by following these steps:
1. The first thing the visitor sees are a set of articles whose titles represent the specific problem area they address. The articles are accessed from the Educational Problem Solving menu of the navigation bar to the left of the screen or from the Educational Problem Solving main page. By scanning these articles the visitor can identify whether or not her problem is covered. If not the visitor can check the educational product catalogue through the Product Catalogues menu of the same navigation bar, to see whether a product exists that answers her query. If she finds nothing she knows that her problem is not addressed. She can proceed to the Related Sites pages, which are accessible from the left navigation bar.
2. If the visitor finds an article that addresses her problem then she can begin to explore that; at the end of the article she will find products that discuss her problem more deeply. She can also access the educational product catalogue through an article page.
Conclusion
This article has introduced the educational solutions module of the world’s most recent personal and professional problem solving site. The article has examined competitive offerings, the target customer profile, problem-oriented solutions, target markets, product offerings, and usability considerations. It concludes that the module is a major contribution to the information superhighway.

Massage oil is a great addition to any massage experience. It enhances not only the relaxing nature of the massage therapy session, but also adds to the healing benefits of the massage.
The use of massage oil is not a new idea. Homer, Plato, Socrates – all of these men referenced the use of massage oil as an aid for pain relief in their writings. Today, pain relief is one reason for using massage oil. Others include the facilitation of more gliding massage, skin nourishment, and the promotion of good health in general.
How do you choose a massage oil for massage therapy? First, choose an oil that is cold-pressed or expeller-pressed. Both of these have had the least amount of processing and will last longest. Prevent them from spoiling by keeping them in a cool place and adding 300 IUs of vitamin E per pint of oil monthly. In addition, essential oils, or oils that are distilled from various plants, roots, or seeds) can be added. Seek the aid of a professional to advise on a good combination.
Some oils to choose from for massage therapy include:
* Sweet almond oil – Anti-inflammatory, light, and good for most skin types, especially dry skin.
* Apricot kernel oil – Reduces stress, provides balance, and good for all skin types, especially prematurely aging skin.
* Avocado oil – This is a heavy oil best diluted at a rate of 10% in a lighter oil.
* Borage oil – Good for eczema and psoriasis, it penetrates, regenerates, and stimulates.
* Castor oil – A thick sticky oil good for drawing out toxins and for use on scar tissue. Best used in a poultice.
* Coconut oil – A thick, heavy oil that should be warmed before use. Good for cracked skin.
* Emu oil – Anti-inflammatory and used for arthritis, sore muscles, bruising, and eczema. May block pores.
* Grapeseed oil – Non-allergenic and good for all types of skin. * Jojoba oil – A penetrating, anti-bacterial oil for eczema and acne.
* Kukui nut oil – Anti-bacterial, anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory that is light and has a slight warming effect.
* Olive oil – Has a warming effect and relieves stiffness.
Different skin types will fare better with different types of oil. As such, it will be a good idea to experiment with different kinds for massage therapy. If one doesn't work, try another. Also, some may personally prefer the smell or the effects of one massage oil to another. The selection of massage oils is pretty wide; so there is bound to be a preferred one for just about anybody.

Hip hop dancing is an urban ethnic dance form that has gained popularity in recent days. It is more common than the break dance of modern days. Hip hop dancing marked its beginning as part of the hip hop culture in the early 1900's, when the youth in and around Bronx, New York started dancing on the streets.
Hip hop dancing is an ideal way to express one's creativeness. It features self impressions and the dances come from the soul. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. There is breaking, popping, locking, and free styling in hip hop dances. The jumps, breakages, and rotations in the movements are combined in such a way that the dance style becomes an informal and explosive one.
Hip hop dancing is considered a good exercise for those persons who perform these dances. It helps the dancers to improve flexibility, to develop body balance, and to coordinate the muscles. This dance allows the dancers to improve their own style and to remain in good body shape. It also leads the dancers to a state of spiritual wholeness.
Hip hop dancing includes many steps and movements that are not present in ballet and ballroom dancing. The jazz, ballet, and other traditional dance forms are technical and require more formal training. There is a term for each and every movement in jazz and ballets. But this is not the case with hip hop dancing and the dancers experience freedom while dancing. The only thing the dancers should have is to become familiar with the dancing technique.
Hip hop dancing can be learned by all those who are interested in dancing. There is no age limitation or restriction for learners and dancers. It is also not necessary that the instructor should be a professional dancer. However, this kind of dance is slightly difficult to learn because of the various body movements.
Hip Hop provides detailed information on Hip Hop, Hip Hop And Rap, Hip Hop Music, R&B Hip Hop and more. Hip Hop is affiliated with Karaoke Music.
Breaking up is never easy. But if you feel like you are not getting anywhere in your relationship, you may need to do it. When you break up with someone, it is important to do it maturely without deliberate pain. Follow these tips to break up with someone.
•Be Honest: It is important to be honest to yourself and your partner. Talk to him/her why both of you need to move on.
•Never Break Up On The Phone: Even though you probably do not want to face the other person when you break up with him/her, it is just rude to break up over the phone. But if the ex boyfriend or ex girlfriend has the history of violence, it might be o.k.
•Pick A Private Place: you want to pick a place that you can really talk, and you don’t want other people to listen to your conversation. Breaking up can be very emotional.
•Figure Out What You What To Say: Before you talk to your ex lover, you think about the all reasons for breaking up. Give your partner closure.
•Don’t Ask Friend To Break Up For You: A lot of people are terrified of breaking up. They just don’t want to face it. So they use their friend to deliver the bad news. It is just plain rude, and it is probably one of the worst things that you can do. Don’t do it.
•Never Break Up During A Fight: When you break up with someone, you want to be rational. It should not be done, because you have emotional fight.

A cyst is a sac that is filled with a fluid or semi-fluid material. Cysts develop in various places in the body and arise from different tissues in the body. Two of the most common types of cyst that occur under the skin surface are epidermoid and pilar cysts. These cysts used to be called sebaceous cysts but this term is no longer correct as the origin of these cysts is not from the sebaceous glands in the skin (as was once thought).
* An epidermoid cyst is a cyst where the cyst sac forms from cells that normally occur on the top layer of the skin (the epidermis). * A pilar cyst is a cyst where the cyst sac forms from cells similar to those that are in the bottom of hair follicles (where hairs grow from).
In both cases the semi-fluid contents of the cyst looks a bit like toothpaste. This substance is soggy keratin. Keratin is made by skin cells and is the substance that hairs are made from and the substance that covers the top layer of the skin.
What do these cysts look like and what are their symptoms?
Both epidermoid and pilar cysts are smooth round lumps which you can see and feel just beneath the skin surface. They are very common. Often they are small (pea size) but sometimes they slowly get bigger over many months to become a few centimeters in diameter. They look very similar to each other but can be distinguished from each other if the cells that form the cyst sac are looked at under the microscope.
* Epidermoid cysts can affect anyone but are most common in young and middle aged adults. They can appear anywhere on the skin but develop most commonly on the face, neck, chest, and upper back. * Pilar cysts can affect anyone but are most common in middle aged women. They can appear anywhere on the skin but develop most commonly on the scalp. It is common for several to develop at the same time on the scalp.
Both epidermoid and pilar cysts usually cause no symptoms. Occassionally:
* They become infected when they may become red, inflamed and painful. A course of antibiotics will usually clear an infection if it occurs. * The cyst may leak the 'toothpaste' like material onto the skin if the cyst is punctured or damaged. * A little 'horn' may grow on the skin over the cyst. * A cyst may form in an uncomfortable place such as in the genital skin, or beside a nail.
What causes epidermoid and pilar cysts?
It seems that some cells that are normally near to the surface of the skin (cells of the epidermis or cells in hair follicles) get into deeper parts of the skin but continue to multiply. This may occur for various reasons. For example, following an injury to the skin. The cells that multiply form into a sac and produce the keratin that they would normally make on the top layer of the skin. The keratin becomes soggy and forms into a toothpaste-like substance.
A tendency to form pilar cysts runs in some families. So, there is a genetic factor in some cases. Epidermoid cysts in themselves are not hereditary and most form for no apparent reason in healthy people. However, some people with rare syndromes have epidermoid cysts as one of their features.
Are epidermoid and pilar cysts harmful?
Not usually. If they do not bother you then it is best just to leave them alone. Sometimes a person with an epidermoid or pilar cyst requests that it be removed. This is usually for one of three reasons.
* Cosmetic reasons. For example, the cyst is in an obvious site on the skin and looks unsightly. * They are sometimes easy to 'catch' and traumatise. This typically occurs on the scalp when combing hair. * If the cyst has become infected or irritating.
Epidermoid and pilar cysts are benign. That is, they are not cancerous, do not spread to other parts of the body or cause any serious problems. Very rarely, a skin cancer may develop from an epidermoid or pilar cyst.
Removal of epidermoid and pilar cysts
If required, the cyst can usually be easily removed by a simple operation under local anaesthetic. The surrounding skin is 'numbed' by injecting some local anaesthetic. A small incision (cut) is made over the cyst. Typically, the cyst can be easily pulled out. The wound is then stitched up. A small scar will result. Sometimes after the removal of a cyst it gradually regrows in the same site under the scar. This is unusual, but if it occurs it can be removed again.
Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is the most destructive pandemic in the history. HIV is also known by following names in medical terminology.
* Human lymphotropic virus type III * Lymphadenopathy virus * Lymphadenopathy associated virus.
HIV is a retrovirus (a virus that has RNA genome with reverse transcriptase enzyme. With the help of these features this virus makes complementary DNA that can integrate into host organism DNA). It is widely accepted that Montagnier, a French physician along with his teammates discovered HIV in 1983-84.
HIV virus can transfer through blood, vaginal fluid, semen, pre-ejaculate and breast milk. HIV virus may be present in form of free virus particles and virus in the infected cells in these body fluids. The main sources of transmission include unprotected sexual intercourse, transmission of virus from mother to baby (at birth or through breast milk) and contaminated needles. Possibility of transmission of HIV virus through blood transfusions or blood products can be eliminated by screening of blood and blood products before transfusion.
If left untreated, most of the HIV infections may lead to development of AIDS and result in death of the infected.
Till date there is no cure for HIV infections. However, certain medications, generally anti-retroviral can provide relief from HIV symptoms up to certain extent. The main aim of HIV infection treatment is to prevent the deterioration by strengthening body immune system and repairing hormonal balances. Some alternative therapies life herbal supplements and homeopathy medicines may be helpful in preventing reducing HIV symptoms. Natural dietary supplements like colloidal gold, colloidal silver and other liquid supplements may prove to be helpful in prevention of HIV infections. Use of colloidal silver can help you in regulating hormonal imbalances and restrict the growth/affects of virus that can cause HIV infection.
Colloidal silver supplement contains microscopic silver particles electrically charged in distilled water. There are no known side effects produced by colloidal silver as it does not contain any harmful chemicals and is prepared through non-chemical method.
Some researches proved that colloidal silver is helpful in enhancing body immune system and regulating hormonal levels. These properties, accompanied with ‘virus killing’ property, makes colloidal silver one of the best complementary therapies as part of HIV infection prevention.

Pets: What You Should Know About Boarding Your Dog
It is a well-known fact that many consider dogs as man’s best friend. There are times, however, when even best friends must part ways – even if for a brief period of time only. Even if dog lovers abound all over the world, there are places and instances that simply do not allow pets. In situations like these, you just might have to leave your dog.
Boarding is becoming an increasingly common option for dog owners these days. More and more institutions are starting to offer boarding services to dog owners. Yet before deciding to leave your dog in a kennel, there are some things to take into consideration.
The first thing to bear in mind is start boarding your dog early. Just like their human counterparts, dogs do feel some sort of separation anxiety. Dogs that have had boarding experience before they are 5 years old tend to adjust better to kennel conditions as they may still have memories of “litter socialization.”
Choosing the right kennel to board your dog is not a joking matter. The first thing you should do is search your local yellow pages for available boarding institutions and then arrange for a personal visit to each one of them. Evaluate the kennels based on several factors. The overall appearance of the kennel is important. Take note of the cleanliness of the area. Daily cleaning is a must to ensure your dog’s health while you are absent. Make sure that even if the kennels have a no visitors policy (in the areas where the dogs are housed), you will be given the chance to at least view where your dog will stay.
Security is a very important consideration. You will want to rest assured that your dog will be taken care of and will not have the chance to escape. The tendency for pets is to look for their owners when they are not around. Thus you must make sure that the kennel has tight security regarding this matter.
Your dog’s safety is of utmost importance. Inspect his boarding area and see to it that there are no potential harmful objects or substances. It is also necessary for your dog to be alone in his temporary home. Stress might arise due to other pets housed in the kennels. Boarders should have solid dividers in between them. This is especially important for male dogs, which may be more aggressive than others.
Other important considerations regarding the living quarters are temperature, bedding, ventilation, and lighting. Try to choose a kennel with conditions as close to your dog’s normal living conditions as much as possible. Ensure that your dog is fed the proper food and given the right amount of water. If your dog needs regular exercise, look into the facilities of the boarding institution as well.
Leaving your dog, even if only for a few days, is a serious matter. Choosing the right kennel for him or her may take a chunk out of your busy schedule but it is better to ensure his or her comfort rather than to subject him or her to undue stress.

Pilonidal disease was first reported in 1833. Sacrococcygeal pilonidal sinus is a common disorder among young adults. It is observed most commonly in people aged 15-30 years, occurring after puberty when sex hormones are known to affect the pilosebaceous gland and change healthy body hair growth. The onset of pilonidal disease is rare in people older than 40 years. History of the Procedure
In the 1950s, pilonidal sinus disease was thought to be of congenital origin rather than an acquired disorder. The pilonidal sinus and abscess were thought to be secondary to a congenital remnant of an epithelial-lined tract from postcoccygeal epidermal cell rests or vestigial scent cells. Sinuses to the neural canal can occasionally extend to the dura, but these are rare and are located in the lumbar region rather than the sacral region. Pilonidal disease is now widely accepted as an acquired disorder based on the observations that congenital tracts do not contain hair and are lined by cuboidal epithelium. The recurrence of the disorder after complete excision of the disease tissue down to the sacrococcygeal fascia and the high incidence of chronic pilonidal sinus disease in patients who are hirsute further support an acquired theory of pathogenesis. Problem
In a recent census and survey of patients admitted to England hospitals in 1985 for treatment of pilonidal sinus disease, 7000 patients required hospitalization for an average of 5 days. The hospitalization of these patients for the treatment of pilonidal disease resulted in a loss of productivity, a loss of earnings, and a disruption of education because patients recovered in the hospital.
Treatment options are now available that provide a rapid rate of cure, a lower recurrence rate, and a minimized number of hospital admissions. Although numerous randomized clinical studies have evaluated different treatments, no clear consensus has been reached as to the optimal medical or surgical treatment. Frequency
The incidence rate of pilonidal disease is approximately 0.7%. Men are affected 2.2-4 times more frequently than women. During a population study involving college students, the incidence rate was found to be 1.1% (365 of 31,497 people) in males and 0.11% (24 of 21,367 people) in females. The onset of the disease is earlier in women, which may be due to earlier puberty in women. Etiology
The incidence is also affected by hair characteristics such as kinking, medullation, coarseness, and growth rate. White persons are affected more frequently than African or Asian persons. Other factors affecting the incidence are increased sweating activity associated with sitting and buttock friction, poor personal hygiene, obesity, and local trauma, which help to explain why pilonidal sinus disease is common in army recruits. In an article examining pilonidal sinus in Turkish soldiers, the incidence was found to be 8.8%, with the correlation factors known to be family history, obesity, being the driver of a vehicle, and the presence of folliculitis or a furuncle at another site on the body. Pathophysiology
After the onset of puberty, sex hormones affect the pilosebaceous glands, and, subsequently, the hair follicle becomes distended with keratin. As a result, a folliculitis is created, which produces edema and follicle occlusion. The infected follicle extends and ruptures into the subcutaneous tissue, forming a pilonidal abscess. This results in a sinus tract that leads to a deep subcutaneous cavity. The direction of the sinus tract is cephalad in 90% of the cases, which coincides with the directional growth of the hair follicle. This usually places the tracking follicle approximately 5-8 cm from the anus. In the more rare instance that the sinus is located caudally, it is usually found 4-5 cm from the anus. The laterally communicating sinus overlying the sacrum is created as the pilonidal abscess spontaneously drains to the skin surface. The original sinus tract from the natal cleft becomes an epithelialized tube. The laterally draining tract becomes a granulating sinus tract opening.
Loose hairs are drilled, propelled, and sucked into the pilonidal sinus by friction and movement of the buttocks whenever a patient stands or sits. Hair enters tip first, and the barbs on the hair prevent it from being expelled so that the hair becomes entrapped. Physical examination occasionally may reveal a tuft of hair emerging from the midline opening in the natal cleft. This trapped hair stimulates a foreign body reaction and infection. Rarely, foreign bodies other than human hair can cause this disease process. Rare case reports exist in which the hair did not come from the patient but, instead, from a bird's feather, the type used to stuff feather bedding. Clinical
Although pilonidal disease may manifest as an abscess, pilonidal sinus, recurrent or chronic pilonidal sinus, or a perianal pilonidal sinus, the most common manifestation of pilonidal disease is a painful fluctuant mass in the sacrococcygeal region. Initially, 50% of patients first present with a pilonidal abscess that is cephalad to the hair follicle and sinus infection. Pain and purulent discharge from the sinus tract are present 70-80% of the time and are the 2 most frequently described symptoms. In the early stages prior to the development of an abscess, only a cellulitis or folliculitis is present. The abscess is formed when a folliculitis expands into the subcutaneous tissue or when a preexisting foreign body granuloma becomes infected. The subcutaneous cavity and laterally oriented secondary sinus tract openings are lined with granulation tissue, whereas only the midline natal cleft pit sinus is lined by epithelium.
The diagnosis of a pilonidal sinus can be made by identifying the epithelialized follicle opening, which can be palpated as an area of deep induration beneath the skin in the sacral region. These tracts most commonly run in the cephalad direction. When the tract runs in the caudal direction, perianal sepsis may be present. The distinctions among pilonidal disease, fistula-in-ano, and hidradenitis can be difficult to discern. In the differential diagnosis, also include skin furuncle, syphilitic granuloma, tubercular granuloma, and osteomyelitis of the underlying sacrum with a draining sinus.
Recurrent pilonidal disease is observed most commonly after the incision and drainage of a pilonidal abscess. In this setting, the pilonidal sinus has not been excised and is still present after the abscess cavity heals, only to precipitate a recurrence. After surgical excision, the hair follicle has been removed and is no longer the pathogenic precipitating cause of the chronic pilonidal sinus. Instead, the base of the unhealed surgical wound is believed to become filled with granulation tissue, hair, and skin debris, which is a nidus for the ongoing foreign body reaction that takes place to create the chronic disease. This theory, coupled with the known predisposing intergluteal anatomy that draws hair into the pilonidal sinus cavity or surgical wound, is thought to precipitate the extensive recurrent and chronic disease.
Endoanal pilonidal sinus is a rare variety of pilonidal disease that affects the perianal skin directly or may occur circumferentially around the anus, involving the skin of the anal verge. Three causes of perianal pilonidal disease have been described. First, the pilonidal sinus may tract down caudally, creating a perianal fissure or fistula communicating with the anal canal. Second, hair may enter the healing wound of a surgically managed fistula-in-ano. Third, hair may be propelled and penetrate the normal anoderm and produce a similar foreign body reaction, which is usually observed in the sacrococcygeal region.
Pilonidal Cyst Overview
A pilonidal cyst is a cyst at the bottom of the tailbone (coccyx) that can become infected and filled with pus. Once infected, the technical term is pilonidal abscess. Pilonidal abscesses look like a large pimple at the bottom of the tailbone, just above the crack of the buttocks. It is more common in men than in women. It usually happens in young people up into the fourth decade of life.
One of my favorite pieces and probably one of the most recognizable piece of classical music. Many different versions have emerged for this particular piece, from simple solo arrangement for the piano to more elaborate arrangements for different instruments, not to mention the version for electric guitar most of us have seen on Youtube. It has been used in various films like "Father of the Bride" and is a favorite choice for those who are tying the knot. What makes "Canon in D" so endearing is its simplicity. The chord progression (for the guitar it's Dmaj-Amaj-Bmin-F#min-Gmaj-Dmaj-Gmaj-Amaj) has been used in various songs. This video sheds a humorous light on this fact. Surely, Pachelbel could never have envisioned, as he was writing "Canon in D" during the 1680's, that it will endure to this day. "Canon in D' continues to be a favorite of many music lovers and I believe it will remain so. Is Pachelbel a one-hit wonder? Well, even if you think he is, considering "Canon in D' is still appreciated more than 300 years since it was first written, perhaps Pachelbel wouldn't mind.
Dinnerware is something that no home can do without,
You may be looking for dinnerware for your own home or alternatively buying some as a gift for friends or family.
As you probably already know, there are so many dinnerware options to choose from it can be quite bewildering, so what features should you look for?
Dinnerware Materials
The choice of materials for dinnerware is quite varied. However, there are a number of excellent types out there for you to choose from.
The more expensive materials include porcelain, china and EAPG. There are other, cheaper materials however and these include earthenware, stoneware, pottery and glass.
The type of material you eventually choose will depend on the application and look that you want to achieve. If you entertain frequently then you will probably want to show your culinary efforts to its best advantage and may opt for bone china.
Popular choices for everyday use include glass and earthenware.
Other dinnerware considerations
Choosing dinnerware for use in family homes brings with it its own dangers, particularly if young children are involved. Obviously you will want to choose the less expensive options for anything other than adult mealtimes.
You need to take into account the color scheme of your interior too. Usually dinnerware is on display and of course you want it to fit in with the color scheme you have chosen for its surroundings.
Colors as well as the patterns and overall quality of the dinnerware will play a part in achieving the right look.
Consideration needs to be given as to whether your new dinnerware is microwave and dishwasher safe. It may be that you prefer to wash the most expensive items in your range by hand.
However, you will want to ensure that your everyday dinnerware is safe to use in these labor saving devices.
Finally, remember that dinnerware does not only comprise the plates and cups, you also need to consider the styling and practicality of the accessories such as soup bowls, salad dishes, condiment holders and gravy boats etc.
These items of dinnerware help to add a more expensive look to your set.
Yvonne Sutton understands how troublesome it can be choosing dinnerware having had to make many difficult choices herself.

Massage, while luxurious and pampering for its receivers, is a serious profession for its deliverers requiring enormous knowledge, an advanced skill set, and unmatched professionalism. And along with this – in order to make a massage profession a successful profession – is the need for safe and effective massage equipment.
As a massage therapist, your equipment needs depend largely on your method of seeing clients. If you work within an existing full-service spa then your massage equipment needs will be significantly less than if you have clients coming to your home or vice versa.
If you do not see your clients in an existing spa, then you will have to provide a massage table and massage chair as part of your massage equipment. A massage table can be a permanent piece of furniture or foldout table that you bring along with you to appointments. It is generally a long table with a cushion for the client to rest their face when they are on their stomach. When purchasing this piece of massage equipment be sure that the table is of adequate length and sturdy enough to hold a variety of weights.
A massage chair allows you to do back and neck massages while the client sits up with their face in a cushioned holder. This piece of massage equipment is typically for shorter massages and don’t require the client to remove any clothing.
Many massage therapists – regardless of whether they work in a spa or at home – consider their own massage oils and lotions to be a part of their personal massage equipment. The smell and texture of certain products appeal to some massage therapists more than others and they will often bring their products along with them. In addition, for those massage therapists trained in hot stone massage, they will often bring their own hot stones – as these are expensive and personal pieces of massage equipment.
However, more important than the massage equipment – or possibly considered the most important piece of massage equipment of all - is the massage therapist’s ability to connect with their client and deliver a relaxing, therapeutic massage.

10 Facts You Might Not Know About St. Patrick's Day
The tradition of St. Patrick’s Day began hundreds of years ago when a boy in Roman England was captured and taken to Ireland as a captive where he found God. It is said that St. Patrick could hear from the angels, and that he had raised people from the dead. He was a very active missionary throughout Ireland for 30 years, and that is why he is called the patron saint of Ireland. There have been many legends attached to this saint, and they have lasted throughout the centuries. This holiday began as a Holy Day in the Catholic Church, but over the years this religious Catholic saint’s day has turned into a more secular celebration of the upcoming new spring.
Here are a few facts for St. Patrick’s Day:
- March 17th, the day of celebration, is the day of Patrick’s death.
- St. Patrick, the patron saint of the Irish, was not from Ireland.
- Patrick was an old time missionary in Ireland during the 4th century.
- He brought many people to conversion and into the Christian religion.
- The Shamrock, symbol of St. Patrick’s Day, was a plant with three leaves that Patrick used to demonstrate to the pagans the trinity of God – Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- Maewyn is the name St. Patrick was born with. His name was changed by the Bishop in a monastery in France, after he escaped his captivity. He was not religious at all when he was a child.
- The first St. Paddy’s day parade in America was in 1737, 40 years before the Revolutionary War.
- The first day of spring is March 21st and this could be the reason St. Patrick’s Day celebrations have caught on so big.
- Everyone turns Irish for a day – just wear green, the sign of life.
- Irish dishes include Corned beef and cabbage, Irish stew, Irish cream pie, Irish soda bread, scones, Irish cheese bread, and all of these would be a good choice on St. Patrick’s Day.
There are many traditions and legends that have been passed down through the generations, so even the barest of facts have gotten confused. It is not even certain exactly when Patrick was born, the actual date varies about 30 years in early 300 AD but the day of his death is certain, March 17, and that is the important day.
So whether you are celebrating the life of a glorified Catholic saint or the oncoming spring and all the new growth and new life possibilities that a new life can encompass, it really doesn’t matter. Wear something Green, grab a green hat, give someone a shamrock and join in the parade. Good luck and Blessings are meant for all!

For those coaches who bother to closely examine each of their gymnasts, they will find an infinite variety of skills, abilities and learning capacity that is just begging to be developed. Further, certain skills and positions look better (even great) on certain body types. Finally, certain gymnasts just learn certain skills and skill groups better than others do. This is one of the beauties of the sport – to help develop and see the unique style of each gymnast.
Originality at Every Level
There is no reason, however, why the same process cannot take place at every competitive level (except, of course, in compulsory routines, but we will assume compulsory gymnasts are already training optional skills). Gymnasts can feel the same sense of pride in their unique, original skills at the lower levels as well as at the higher levels.
Invest the Time to Work Original Skills and Combinations
To develop this kind of personal enjoyment and creative capacity, first, some time must be allocated to the task. For creative floor skill development, for example, we usually devote 15 – 20 minutes of time after basic warm-ups to working creative skill variations.
Unique Skills and Routines For Every Gymnast
A major goal of the sport and the coach should be the development and creation of unique signature skills and creative, unusual skill combinations and a personal style for each gymnast. The ultimate extension of this would be to have a skill named after your gymnast. While that bears the additional burden of having to reach and perform the skill in International competition, the positive effects of this accomplishment would certainly make it worthwhile.
See What Looks Good on Each Gymnast
The function of the coach during creativity drills is to spot skills that look good on the gymnast and are worth developing. Creativity is reinforced by pointing out and praising the performance of the gymnast, in order to get them to repeat those skills that look good and build on and add onto. This is not tough duty for a coach who likes to watch the sport and admires creativity and originality.
Creativity, Originality and Virtuosity
So get to work and plan and spend some time on each event training originality and creating truly unique skills and routines for you and your gymnasts. Let’s again make our sport a creative and unique joy to watch.

The Clinic is a Health Institution where you can keep yourself healthy.
A health clinic is not only for sick people but also for those people who want to stay healthy and fit. The health clinic is one of the best places to get information on how to take of your body and avoid illnesses. Doctors do not just cure diseases, they also help prevent diseases that are why even if you are healthy, and you will still need to see your doctor every now and then.
A lot of people would freak with the though of visiting a health clinic. For some reason, a visit to the health clinic is automatically associated with getting ill and those uncomfortable if not painful test that the good doctor would perform on you to determine what is wrong with you. For people who have some morbid fear of the needle, going to the health clinic and the prospect of getting a shot is so traumatic that they would rather forego the visit and go somewhere else, preferably very far from the health clinic.
Now, you don’t really have to run as fast as you can away from the health clinic. Always remember that in order to stay healthy and fit, you need to visit the health clinic every now and then even if you don’t feel ill.
It is always favorable to the person to prevent the disease instead of letting the disease contaminate your body before you seek assistance from a health clinic. The good thing about seeing your doctor periodically even if you are not feeling ill is that your doctor could prevent diseases from entering your body. There are instances where you don’t really feel unwell but you are already harboring some serious diseases in your system. If you go to the health clinic regularly for routine check-ups, the disease lurking in your body could be discovered and cured before it can do some damage.
Furthermore, catching a disease at the earliest possible time could save your life.

Thai Massage is one of the world's oldest healing modalities and originates from the time of the Buddha over 2500 years ago. Introduced to Thailand by an Indian doctor, ‘Nuad Phaen Boran’ as is it known in Thailand, correctly translates as Ancient Massage or Traditional Massage. Here it is more widely known as Thai Massage.
Thai Massage is considered an ancient art of body therapy for health, healing, and transformation.
The History of Thai Massage
Thai massage has been performed for centuries by monks in Southeast Asia as one element of indigenous Thai medicine.
As with much of traditional oriental medicine, illness is seen as an imbalance of the mind, body and spirit or ‘chi’.
Thai massage is based on the concept of invisible energy lines running through the body. These energy lines known as ‘Prana Nadis’ supply us with vital energy.
‘Prana’ (life energy) is absorbed with the air we breathe and with the food we eat. Disturbances in the flow of energy result in an insufficient supply of Prana, which in turn lead to sickness.
Thai massage selects ten energy mainlines on which there are significantly important acupressure points. Working on these energy mainlines, Thai massage breaks the blockades, stimulates the free flow of Prana, and helps to restore general well-being.
Thai Massage – How Does it Work?
Thai Massage focuses on interactive manipulation and uses two primary procedures.
These include the therapist applying gentle pressure with the hands and feet along the energy lines and a variety of passive stretching movements to manipulate your body into a series of postures.
These movements help to align the energies of the body.
Traditional Thai massage differs greatly from traditional massage where kneading of muscles and strokes of varying lengths and pressure are used to stimulate, calm or relax.
It works more with the energy body rather than with the physical body and is based on a gentle but vigorous pressure, the pressing of energy points and a lot of stretching.
What are the Benefits of Thai Massage?
Although Thai massage is considered more vigorous than traditional massage, the effect is uniquely energizing as well as relaxing.
Sometimes referred to as Thai yoga, because of the ‘assisted stretching’, Thai massage stimulates and energizes the body and releases tension and toxins from joints, muscles and connective tissue.
Thai massage has been used for many years to treat degenerative illness and promote wellness and can be beneficial for the young or old, healthy or not so healthy, the active or not so active.
The key benefits include:
• stimulates internal organs • balances the body's energy system • adjusts the skeletal structure • relieves muscular and joint tension • increases flexibility
Thai Massage – Is it Safe for Everyone?
Thai massage is relatively safe but is not appropriate for people with certain medical conditions such as serious back or knee injuries, or pregnant women.
If in doubt you should seek advice from your doctor.
What to expect from a Thai Massage?
Applied in a quiet meditative atmosphere, Thai massage creates space in the musculoskeletal structure, opening up the body and allowing it to regain flexibility and ease of movement.
When performed in Thailand, Thai massage is seen as a spiritual practice and in order to perform the massage in the meditative mood that is required, the session will start with a meditative prayer to fully center the masseur on his or her work.
It is believed that only a masseur working in a meditative mood can have intuition for the lines of energy flow in the body.
Traditionally, Thai massage is performed on a padded floor mat instead of a table or couch, no oil is used and you stay fully dressed, so loose comfortable clothing is advised.
Thai Massage – Choosing a Therapist
To get the best from a traditional Thai massage, ensure you seek a therapist that is suitably qualified. Thai massage is a great way to improve overall wellbeing and is more popular than ever. Try a Thai massage for yourself and you will be glad you did.
